We (three adults) stayed right after Christmas, and had a flawless stay. We visit an island every year, and found a gem with this property.
Each unit is decorated differently, but ours was top of the line with style. The concierge desk was awesome to the very end. The location was great, too.
We will stay here again, and maybe one day get to own our own unit! |

We enjoyed an excellent condo and beach. Visited: July 2005 |

The condo (we were in a top floor, oceanview room), beach and location were excellent. However, the tiny pool left much to be desired.
I would recommend the place to only those families who are not interested in pool facilities. |

In my opinion this is the place to stay on Kaanapali Beach. Visited: April 2004 |

We recently visited the Alii for an 11-night stay. We had just visited in December 2003 and just loved the convenient location to all that West Maui has to offer.
You can just about park your car and forget it until your departure. For our April visit, we upgraded to a Premier Oceanfront. It cost a lot more but, for this family it was definitely worth every cent.
The recently remodeled third floor unit was gorgeous and well appointed. We will be visitng Maui again this summer. Unfortunately, the Oceanfront units are all sold out during that period, so we will be staying in an Premiere Oceanview. As a return guest you get a 10% discount of their regular rate.
If you're looking for an upscale condo, this is the place. |

We rented a two-bedroom condo with a mountain view and were sadly disappointed. The rooms were old, and the condo was pretty outdated with old decor and furniture. Also, the maid service was poor.
The location was good, but we had only a few feet of beach. And forget about lounge chairs on the beach - no room! We thought it was a poor value. For the price we paid, we could have stayed in a much better place. I would not recommend this place and would not return. |

This is the only place to stay on Maui! Visited: June 2002 |

June/July 2002 was our fifth stay at the Kaanapali Alii. Our family joined us this visit. The six of us were very, very comfortable (and compatible!) in this two-bedroom / two-bath oceanview unit.
The unit was also equipped with a queen-size sofa bed. The Alii provided numerous amenities--too many to mention here. The Alii stood on the best section of Kaanapali Beach (location, location, location!). I guarantee your stay at the Alii will be memorable. Aloha! |

A first class stay, all the way. Visited: October 2001 |

We have stayed here twice and shared a two bedroom with friends. This kept the cost down and helped with expenses.
Our friends have been going back since 1989 and love the place. I must warn you, if you stay here you will be spoiled for any place else in Hawaii.
The grounds, rooms, and staff were first rate. The rooms below the fifth floor were a little dark because of the trees. We had a fifth floor room with a mountian view, which gave us a little ocean. We've also stayed in a first floor facing the parking lot. The first floor was a better floor plan than the fifth, and the landscaping hid the lot. I doubt if there is a bad room on the property.
We were in easy walking distance to just about everything. Even though there was no bar or food on grounds, you have room charging rights at the Marriott and Sheraton next door.
The beach was the best and the patio and barbecue area was first rate. |

Beautiful! Visited: May 2000 |

We stayed here with my mom and our two-year-old daughter for my sister's wedding. It was beautiful—twice as big as we expected! It had two huge master suites, a walk-in laundry, dining room, living room, full-sized kitchen—everything! The balcony off of the living room that was also accessible through one bedroom, was our favorite. It had an oceanview and you could also see the pool, but couldn't hear any of the noise. There was a table and chairs to eat out at and plenty of room for our daughter to run around. It was very secure; no bars, rather, cement or some kind of wall up to my waist in addition to a few feet of flower bed along the actual edge! Everyone couldn't believe how big and nice the Kaanapali Ali was. There was a sidewalk along the beach that went past some more hotels and Whaler's Village, which had nice shopping and restaurants. The staff was great; there when you needed them, but not in your way. We are very picky and love to travel to places that we have never been before. This year we are debating going back to Kaanapali Ali because we compare every place to it, and can't find a place even comparable in the Caribbean. This place is truly great! I hope you enjoy it and Maui as much as we did!
