Luana Inn

Location. The Luana Inn is located in Captain Cook, Hawaii, on the Kona Coast of the Big Island. The inn is centrally located 15 miles south of Kailua-Kona, the largest town on the west side of the island. The Kealakehua Bay is less than one mile from the inn, and Keei Beach and Napo'opo'o Beach Park are less than four miles away.
Features. The Luana Inn is positioned at 300 feet on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The property is made up of two modern tropical houses accessed via a palm-lined private drive. Complimentary homemade breakfasts prepared with fresh, local ingredients are served each morning in the dining room. Breakfast items may include coffeecake, scones, muffins, cinnamon buns, brioche, coconut oatmeal, frittata, Portuguese sausage, fresh seasonal island fruit and 100-percent local Kona coffee. The inn features an outdoor pool with a lanai, a covered patio and a hot tub facing the ocean. A great room with a sitting area and guest office are available. The grounds feature a Koi pond. Pets are not allowed at this property.

Guestrooms. This open, ocean-view property houses a total of five guest accommodations. Three guestrooms are located in the main house, and feature private entrances from the pool lanai and west lawn. Two guest suites are contained in a separate house, located across the lawn. Accommodations are equipped with private bathrooms and kitchenettes. All units feature televisions, VCRs and complimentary wireless Internet access. Beds in most units feature extra-thick foam mattresses.Expert Tip. Nearby Kealakekua Bay is a resting place for a local pod of wild spinner dolphins, which can often be seen jumping and spinning. Many visitors enjoy swimming out towards the dolphins and watching them from the water, though swimming with these particular dolphins is illegal, as they are a protected species.
