Eighty two oceanfront acres of lush foliage, white sand and black lava rock on the big island of Hawaii, is home to Kona Village Resort. Cars are not permitted and the only telephones are in the telephone center. The resort offers no televisions, radios, CD players or clocks to hinder the sound of the sea. But guests will never miss them. Complimentary use of sports equipment, kayaks and sailboats is offered, as are outrigger canoe rides and historical tours. Tennis, swimming, scuba diving, and exercising in the Fitness Center will appeal to active guests, while those looking for a respite from their active lives can partake of a peaceful massage, lounging in a hammock, or simply stargazing.
Younger guests are introduced to Hawaii through the Na Keiki in Paradise program designed for children six to 12 that provide entertainment and adventure while Mom and Dad escape. Crafts, games, classes and contests will educate as well as entertain. Teens have their own adventures at Kona Village with snorkeling, kayaking and sailing.

Vacationers, honeymooners and families alike will delight in the oldest continuously running luau on the Big Island. Wednesday and Friday nights, Kona Village Resort presents its legendary luau for a fee. Customary Hawaiian fare of roasted pig, poi, and haupia cake is followed by a traditional Polynesian review. It's the quintessential Hawaiian experience.

Guests of Kona Village reside in peaceful privacy in individual thatched roof hales. Ranging from intimate to family sized, these unique cottages offer guests picturesque garden views, tranquil lagoon settings or dramatic ocean panoramas. Cooled only by tropical breezes and ceiling fans, each hale includes a private lanai, refrigerator and safe. To insure privacy, guests need only place a coconut outside their door.
