Description:
Location. Nestled on 50 oceanfront acres on Keoneloa Bay and boasting architecture evocative of Hawaii's golden age is the Grand Hyatt Kauai in Koloa, Hawaii. Poipu Shopping Village is within two miles and Koloa Town is less than three miles from the property.
Hotel Features. The casual Ilima Terrace presents al fresco dining amid koi filled ponds and waterfalls, while Dondero's boasts classic Italian offerings and an expansive wine list. Hawaiian cuisine is highlighted at Tidepools and select days boast the Grand Hyatt Kauai Luau, featuring an all you can eat feast presented with hula dancing, an open bar and crafts demonstrations. Ancient healing remedies are the focus of ANARA Spa, with treatments including the Kauai Clay Ritual and the Detox Oil Therapy. A lap pool, lava rock showers, fitness equipment and wellness classes are also featured. The 18 hole Poipu Bay Golf Course, site of the PGA Grand Slam, is positioned adjacent to the property. Three Plexipave tennis courts and two freshwater outdoor pools are available, as is a water park with a 150 foot water slide and the Camp Hyatt kids' club, for which fees apply.
Guestrooms. Exuding contemporary tropical ambiance, the 602 guestrooms host mahogany or maple finished furnishings, furnished balconies or lanais framing ocean, mountain or garden views, colorful framed prints and decor in hues of cream, chocolate brown and spring green. Marble bathrooms contain dual basin vanities, telephones, Portico toiletries and bathrobes. All accommodations include cable television, high speed wired and wireless Internet access, CD players, in room safes and mini fridges.
Expert Tip. Live music and performances are an integral part of the Grand Hyatt Kauai experience. In addition to the Grand Hyatt Kauai Luau, the Seaview Terrace starts each evening with a torch lighting ceremony and entertainment including a Hawaiian Soloist, Hawaiian Duet or a Keiki Hula performance. Live jazz accompanies the cocktails served at Stevenson's Library.
