Kahala Hotel and Resort - Hawaii

Location. Punctuating a secluded crescent of Oahu's pristine coastline is the seaside Kahala Hotel & Resort in Honolulu, Hawaii. Embellished in the style of the local coconut plantations, the 364 guestrooms contain fabric swathed canopy beds, rattan chaise longues, teak floors, hand woven Tibetan carpets, mahogany furnishings and accents in white, cream and tan. Furnished balconies or Juliet style balconies with wrought iron railings and sliding glass doors provide ocean or mountain views. Bathrooms contain red marble and mahogany vanities, designer toiletries, bathrobes and makeup mirrors. Accommodations feature CD and DVD/VCR players, video game consoles and high speed Internet access.

Expert Tip. The decidedly friendly Atlantic bottlenose dolphins that populate the 26,000 square foot saltwater lagoon in the middle of the property are a favorite hotel feature. Under professional supervision, hotel guests are invited to swim and interact with these highly intelligent creatures for a fee.
