The Hyatt was absolutely gorgeous, and after staying in two other hotels it was definetly one of our favorites.
The room was spotless, and the view was breathtaking.
The only negative thing was the restaurant was very expensive for breakfast - but definitely worth it.
I will return back to this great hotel! |

I have been at this property before, and I think I have fallen in love with ithis small-time quiet charm.
It is close to shopping and restaurants. It has a BBQ pit, and at least two pools that I saw.
The units are very cute and clean. It's nothing deluxe, but it is very, very comfortable! Each unit is owned by a different person, and is decorated differently.
Also, they have changed where you check in for the property. You no longer need to go off site to check in. Now you can check right in on the property.
Finally, there are great sunsets here! |

We stayed at the Sheraton Maui for six nights. Our room was updated with a large bathroom. We also had a fridge and a microwave in the room.
The views were gorgeous. They had a great pool, and snorkeling at Black Rock was nice. It was also an easy walk to Whalers Village.
We will definitely stay here again. |

We were very disappointed with the unit in which we stayed, 208A.
The walls were dirty, damaged and dinged, needing lots of refurbishing. The master bath had a hole in the ceiling with lots of mold growing around it. The tub had a poorly repaired hole in it. The bed in the master bedroom is in front of a patio door that has light window coverings.
There was also a light outside the window, so at night it seemed like the middle of the day. We eventually hung dark sheets over the door so the room became a little darker, making for better sleep. In addition, when we arrived, we found gray looking towels with makeup stains and had to buy laundry detergent to wash them before we could use them.
The grounds were in good condition except for the horrendous odor from the ocean vegetation that accumulated on the very narrow beach.
While we were here, we found out that a discharge ditch drained nasty, nutrient-filled water into the area, and that fertilized the algae and seaweed. We’ve had many tropical vacations but have never smelled anything this bad. Some days spending any time at the pool or tennis courts was impossible because of the stench.
We enjoyed the island of Maui, but would never return to Maui Sunset because of the condition of the unit and the unusable beach. There were other beautiful properties on the island, and we'll look into staying in another location in the future. |

We stayed four days here. They offered nice rooms that were placed right on the beach. We enjoyed fantastic sunset views, clean rooms, and free parking. Also, the personnel here was friendly.
The only minus was that the wireless connection was down most of the time. But I was able to connect from the reception without any problems.
We will be back! |

The staff was so courteous - full of true Hawaiian aloha! I have made several trips to Hawaii and this hotel was the best I have stayed at during all of my trips.
The views were beautiful, and the rooms were clean and a good size. The parking was included which was nice. The only downside was that it was a hike to the parking garage - but who minds a stroll in beautiful Hawaii?
I would recommend this for anyone - families, honeymooners, anyone who wants to enjoy Hawaii for all it is worth! One thing to keep in mind of most of Kaanapali Beach is that you pay big bucks to rent beach umbrellas or lounge chairs! |

I wrote a very extended review here before, but now it's not posted. If you are going to Maui, you MUST stay at the Westin.
We stayed here for the first week of our 2 week honeymoon. The building, grounds, and beaches are perfection. The Westin is part of what locals call "Hotel Row" with the Sheraton and Kaanapali Village right next to the Westin. There are tons of shops, restaurants, and places to go and see in this area.
Lahaina is nearby (you have to drive, but only for about 5-10 monutes) and is a nice little town with cute shops.
The Westin gave us a complementary upgrade from our Deluxe Oceanview which we had for the first few days to a 1 bedroom suite. It was incredible.
The heavenly beds and showers are just that...heavenly!
The breakfast buffet was out of this world and everything (especially the OJ and Kona coffee) tasted so fresh!
I truly loved this place and hope that others get to enjoy it as much as I did. |

We checked into the Maui Lu on Oct 27th and was so ashamed of the Partial Ocean Veiw Room we pre-purchased that we didn't even want to be in Hawaii! The place is in shambles, and should be torn down and rebuilt. The maid service was something else, we stayed there for 7 nightS and the maid never changed the sheets or bedding for the 1st 5 night we stayed there.Forgot to leave towels, soap, forgot to clean the garbage out of the room ect ect. The location is excellent and the pool is nice, but a Restraunt is advertised on the Web-Site and it is like 2 1/2 miles down the road. Good thing we rented a Car, it would have been a long long ways to walk!! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY THERE! |

I was at this property for five nights. I had a one-bedroom condo. I didn't like that I had to go about 5 - 10 minute drive away to check in and get the key from a travel agency that runs the condos.
The grounds were nicely kept. The condos were easy to find from the main road in Kihei. Our condo was roomy, clean, and comfortable. We had a/c, microwave, full size fridge, and a nice stove with an oven.
Also, the patio provided beautiful views of the sunsets. It was near a beach that was watched by lifeguards (very safe). The condos had two pools - each one had both shade and sun almost all day.
It was also in a good location! |

Four Seasons is out of this world. Visited: July 2004 |

Yes, it's as excellent as all the reviews. The grounds were perfect, and services were top notch (I really don't know how you can top this resort, but apparently you can).
Our room was very spacious. And they did not nickel and dime us. Most of the requests were free (cabana, snorkel rental, bath salt...etc), which was very different from the other Maui resorts.
The concierge was very helpful (even though they were very busy all the time). Lomi Lomi massage was the best spa treatment I'd ever had. I don't have kids, but talked to other guests, and they highly praised the kids program. And sitting by the kiddie pool, I could tell that everyone in the program was enjoying themselves. I would definitely recommend this place.
Now comes the room-for-improvement area. By no means were these complaints, though (unless to those who have only stayed at five-star hotels all their lives)....
1. Pool area was small compared to other resorts. Peak hours were around 9:00 am. I almost never got a chair or any immediate service during thess hours. But that was understandable. In the mid-afternoon hours, it was much improved. If you want big pools with pool sports, go to Grand Wilea instead.
2. Pool service was lacking. The staff was very hard at work, but just not enough to take guests orders, let alone spray them with Evian or give you water. (Again, you should still stay here despite that.)
3. There was a lack of lunch / afternoon snack eateries. Only one restaurant was opened, and I got tired of their food very quickly.
But overall, it was still better than any other resorts I'd ever stayed at. Even other Four Seasons.
I did cry when I left. For those who didn't enjoy this resort, they should really see a theraptist. |

We were so pleased with the Sheraton in Maui that we have vowed never to return to any other hotel on the island.
The Sheraton had it all. We paid a decent room rate, but it was well worth it. The Sheraton was in an excellent location on Kaanapali. We were directed to several different hotels for timeshare information and rentals, so we got to check those out and no stretch of sand compared to that at the Sheraton.
We were told we were there during one of the busiest times of the year, but the resort still maintained an excellent level of intimacy and privacy.
We had an oceanview room and it was amazing. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Service was unbelieveable, they really treated us like family and knew our names, where we were from and that we were on our honeymoon.
Also, the amenities at this resort were excellent. The snorkeling was amazing! There was an 80-foot black rock that was a popular spot and it was right off shore. The grounds at this hotel were very well maintained, as well.
The Sheraton was elegant, classy, and intimate, but it was unpretentious and we still felt like there was so much to do. Which there was on Maui!
Stay at the Sheraton and definitely stay in Kaanapali. You will not be disappointed! |

This resort was absolutely beautiful. Unlike most large luxury beach resorts, it didn't feel huge and overwhelming. The staff always made it feel as if everything was for only us.
Although pricy (expected at a five-star hotel), the restaurants were phenomenal. The beach was great, with good snorkeling right nearby.
The only negative was that there were a few days with lots of surf, almost a dangerous level. If you like to swim in a lagoon with no waves, go to a different resort, like the Mauna Lani on the big island.
The huge resort next door (The Grand Wailea) had all the water sports available to Four Seasons guests and the Four Seasons offered its own Scuba Diving and instruction. My boyfriend and I did this and it was wonderful!
The pool was what made this hotel most memorable. It was beautiful. Every part of this hotel was extraordinary. No detail had been overlooked at all. It's hard to find something to complain about. |

After traveling throughout the Caribbean, we decided to spend our ten-year anniversary in Hawaii, partly in Maui. We were a little worried about staying here since it wasn't a national chain and we did not hear about this resort.
But, boy were we so pleasantly surprised at the wonderful Maui Prince Resort. It was arguably the friendliest service we have ever seen. There were so many special touches like free valet parking, a room upgrade, and smiles and greeting from all we saw.
The grounds and beach were wonderful as well, but the service was what will make us choose Prince the next time we're in Hawaii. |

The Prince was a great place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone. We stayed here for half of our honeymoon.
The room was very pretty and the bed was very comfortable. We had a view of the ocean. The lobby was really pretty and the food was very good. We were in Kauai the week before and the food here was a lot better - especially at dinner.
The koi pond was fun. The massage was great. The beach was really nice and the snorkeling was fabulous. The pool was not so great, but the beaches on Maui made pools seem silly. It also wasn't crowded, which was great.
We were close enough to busy places, but this place was more quiet. The staff was really friendly. I also bought a robe because they were so soft. We felt very comfortable walking around in shorts and suits. It was not too stuffy, but still beautiful. We would return and stay here again anytime. We fell in love with Maui and the Prince helped. |

We stayed at the Sheraton in September in a partial oceanview room (really a joke, but I only paid for a garden view #2115). The building we were in was far from the beach and pool which was a pain when we had to lug all the beach stuff.
Snorkeling was good around Black Rock, but there was a pretty strong current and sometimes was very wavy. Better snorkeling was a few miles away at Honolua Bay. The beach was definitely the biggest of all the hotels. Bring shoes to wear because the sand got really hot!
The pool was nice. The hotel was close to good restaurants and shopping at Whaler's Village. Eat at Hula Grill with your bare feet in the sand - very romantic! |

My wife and I just returned from Sheraton Maui last Saturday.
The room was an oceanfront room, and the employees were as warm as I have ever experienced. From the general manager to our maid, they were as accommodating as could be. Every morning I would walk a few short steps and be snorkeling.
I give this my best recommendation for relaxation and romance.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a partial ocean view room. We loved it. We would hang out on our balcony. This hotel is old inside. The room is small. The shower room is extremely tiny and no door, only a cotton curtain, when you take a shower, water spill all over the bathroom. The bathroom is so small. The closet is tiny and dirty. Everything is small and old. Good location. |
