It was great! Visited: April 2006 Posted by tam_shep It was a very relaxing place, with the kindest staff. Everything was neat and tidy, and they had their own beauty salon. They had everything you could want for a relaxing vacation. Not to mention, in its backyard was the beach with sparkling white sand, and at the front was a wealth of great shopping. It was perfectly located with friendly staff. The hotel also had the perfect mix of modern style and old Colonial style. Portions of the hotel were a little in need of refurbishing, but this was a good deal for the money I paid because it was comfortable and in a great location for shopping and fun. HOTEL RESERVATION Visited: July 2005 Posted by donaldduke4real 1.We need only 25 rooms for 20 guest for the period of 22 days(8th of July - 30th Of July). 2.We need dinner and lunch for the 20 guest for the period of 22 days 3.We only need a meeting /conference room for 200 guest served with buffet only on 21th of July. We had an excellent room, and a great view of the Caribbean. Shopping was at our finger tips. Also, the beach was available - if desired. We've never gone to the same island two years in a row, but January 2006 will be our third year in a row in St. Maarten. That's mainly because the Holland House is precisely what we want in a hotel. For me, it was like I had never left - "home sweet home". Also, some of the staff at the hotel were people I had gone to school with. Visited: November 2004 Posted by j_cichy The Holland House provided us a great week-long vacation. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the beach was superb. It was right in the heart of the city with everything at our front door and the beautiful ocean at the back door. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for a great week! I really enjoyed the proximity to the shopping district, while still being able to access the beach as if it was my back yard. Did you find this helpful? we got maried there Visited: October 2003 Posted by centrum Unfortunally we did not get the chance yet too stay at the hotel itself, because off the fire they had last year october, but we did get maried on their terrace on 18 october 2003 and the staff were our witnesses and i could not think of a better place to get maried. The personal of holland house really made it the best day of our lives. We especially want to thank Tori Lake for the excellent service. And thanks for hooking us up with a great room. Visited: September 2002 Posted by chris632_74 This was our first time to the island, so we did not know what to expect. But after arriving at the Holland House and seeing what a lovely place it was, we were very pleased. The rooms were nice,clean and spacious. The staff was very well presented and knew the meaning of "customer service". And last, but not least, the food from the restaurant was nothing short of the best. Visited: November 2001 Posted by peter1345 This hotel offers everything St. Maarten has to offer within walking distance. The hotel has a perfect location right on the beach and in the heart of Philipsburg, with all its duty-free shopping, casinos and restaurants. The rooms have kitchenettes and are spotless. Make sure you book a room on the seaside where the view is just absolutly gorgeous! The restaurant and bar serve great food and beverages, and all the staff in this hotel are so friendly. Visited: May 2000 Posted by Travelgr8 We were not expecting much when we made reservations to stay at the Holland House Beach Hotel. This site's review made it sound very sterile, dark, and boring. But, we needed a place to stay for two nights in Phillipsburg before we boarded Windjammer's Polynesia; and we knew this was just down the street from a Great restaurant/bar/dance club called The Green House. The reservation staff were very accommodating for our group of 10. They made our arrangements in a timely manner and gave us what we considered a more than fair rate for our oceanfront rooms. We arrived at the Holland House on May 12th and were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful, charming hotel with a very tropical, airy feeling. The entire rear of the hotel contains the restaurant and bar and was open to the ocean, so you hear the sounds of the waves the moment you walk in. Our room was an absolute treat.
