The Pearl Lounge is a great place to have a before dinner cocktail or outside in the zen like garden with water feature and candles- very romantic.
Once inside the chic inside space with the lofty chrystal chandeliers- tha all white motif is a perfect setting for a most rewarding dining experience. We loved the service and especially the unique food presentations. The choices are plentiful as it was hard to decide. One of the best meals we had on island.

I found the diving be very poor. Very few fish compared to diving near Nassau (Exuma Cays).
As a PADI resort I felt that they didn't follow the guidelines that PADI has set for Rec Diving. Diving at 45 feet for 45 minutes is NOT like a 45 minute safety stop (which I was told by the dive staff) especially after doing 90feet+ dive with only a 10 minute (or less) surface interval.
This sort of diving can be dangerous to new divers who do not know their limits or the NDL (no decompression limits) calculations. There were many times that I saw new divers exceed their NDL especially on the second morning dive (btw the dive staff never participated in second morning dive). The first dive of the day ALL dive staff participated which meant that the boat was left anchored but unmanned.

I was informed that there was no air conditioning (unless you pay the $15/day) But what I wasn't informed of was the partial fresh water showers.

I must admit that the beach looked just like the pictures on the small hope website (long beach, nice sand, etc.). What the pictures didn't show was that at high tide the beach disappears. The water goes right up to the rock.

The food was hit & miss. Making your own sandwiches every lunch for 289.00/day was not exactly what I had in mind.

To be honest I thought that they had a fairly nice/rustic resort & I would have been slightly more satisfied with the the actual resort stay (not including the diving) if it hadn't been for the luxury price.

If you're looking for a private little piece of paradise, with top notch service, consider staying at MVI. Steve and Leslie are your hosts, and they make the comfort and enjoyment of your stay a top priority. The downstairs apartment is a private retreat all its own with a completely equipped kitchen and beautiful decor throughout. The location is convenient to gorgeous Magens Bay, the town, and the St. John ferry, which worked out great for us. Steve's cooking is unbelievable, from breakfast to dinner on the deck, everything is fresh and delicious! Steve and Leslie are also very helpful with recommending things to do around the island, and are all around just great people. My fiance and I stayed here in March, it was the perfect romantic getaway. There was lots of privacy, and we're looking forward to coming back to this fabulous B&B!

My family and I while in Jamaica did go to Dunnes River Falls. The only good thing about it was the boad trip ther and back! When we got there it was full of tourists and it was confusing on what group you camed in there was so many people. The falls is very high and hard to climb you need climbing shoes which you can rent!

The water current is very strong and i wouldnt suggest going if your faint hearted, pregant or cant swim. My husband and i are both strong swimmers and when climbing the falls did fall over on a numerous of times and cut our legs. The current was so strong it pulls you under if you fall in so you have to be careful!

Theres no rope to hold onto just the your fellow mates,family hands. The spiders tangled on the braches of the trees were MASSIVE! At the end of it you can purchase a DVD, which we did but were unsatisfied as it didnt show much of us climbing the falls. Waste of money but something to add to your list to say you have done.

My family and I stayed at Club Ocho Rios for two weeks. The transfer time from the airport to the hotel was about hour and fourty five minutes. The bus had no Air con.

Check In took too long.My daughter who was 19 was given a Red band which is used to notify the bartenders not to serve alcohol to children. My husband had to go threw all our bags to find my daughetrs passport to prove her age.

The employees on the main desk were VERY rude!!!! I had to buy calling cards from ther and they were 20$ each, ten pound sterling and they tried to rip me off on a numerous of times, even though the manager told his employees that the money i was giving them was correct!

The room itself was lovelly, the design and decor was good but smelt very mouldy. The beds werent that comfy. The cleaners do a good job when they want to but come in on innapropriate times.

The breakfast was great, american style!We found the burgers tasted like processed meat, which you wouldnt expect from a 6 star hotel. Dinner time got boring same food, the line to make resverations for the restraunts was long and the chinese restraunt was disguisting.

Entertainment at night was the same, the Michael Jackson show was the only good one. Sports bar was very cheesy and same with the disco.

Kids club NO GOOD!! They dont watch your children in the pool!!!! very DANGEROUS

At the end of it we had a big bill to pay for the connection of the phone. £127.98p even though we had calling cards!!
