The 230-room Hyatt Regency hotel suffered major damage from Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and has been closed ever since. Insurance disputes have kept repairs from starting.
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Resort and Villa is a deluxe resort located directly on Seven Mile Beach, only fifteen minutes from Owen Roberts Airport. This hotel offers a full range of services and amenities, and the area offers a variety of exciting activities. Guests can enjoy an outstanding, 90 acre golf facility and a full service spa right on the premises. Luxurious guest rooms, delicious food and unparalleled service are not to be overlooked, either. Guests have direct access to Rum Point beaches and dining.
The guest rooms are all well appointed and feature a broad range of amenities and comforts. Because each room has either a balcony or patio, as well as a ceiling fan, guests can open up their rooms and enjoy the fresh sea air. Guests can enjoy dining from any of the Hyatt's four onsite restaurants. The resort also features seven swimming pools, and a number of lounges. There's even a poolside bar and grill, by the beach. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Resort and Villa offers onsite fine dining, and it is convenient to recreational areas and entertainment venues.
