Sofitel Motu Bora Bora, French Polynesia traveler review

This is the best hotel in Bora Bora. Visited: September 2007
Posted by surferbill
I have stayed here two times now. This private island houses a maximum of 36 couples, and no one can get to the island that resides in the middle of Bora Bora lagoon except guests.

The Overwater bungelows are beautifully appointed with beautiful bathrooms, plenty of natural wood, and a see-through coffee table that looks to down to the lagoon below. I won this trip from my company.

Each overwater bungelow has a thatch covered deck patio with tables and chairs (great for outdoor meals in your room). It also has an overwater sundeck with chaises and a fresh water shower for when you exit the ocean.

This Motu also has the best snorkeling in all of Bora Bora within swimming distance around the point from the bungalows.

The staff is friendly, and the overal atmosphere is very relaxed and tranquil. Outrigger canoes and surf skis are available (and free to guests).

Also, the sister hotel that resides on the beach across the lagoon (accessible by boat) has scuba diving excursions. Motu guests can use the pool and other facilities of this sister hotel, but they cannot come to the Motu except for dinner reservations.
