Finding something to do away from your St. Croix villa is not hard. The island is well-known for its snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities, and it is home to the only underwater National Park in the U.S. Outdoor enthusiasts will also love hiking or biking along the island trails, and places like Caribbean Adventure Touring can supply you with information and rentals. Kayak through the Salt River National Historical Park and Ecological Preserves. The tour is three hours, and highlights the ecological and historical aspect of St. Croix. You can also take a 2 1/2-hour moonlight tour that takes you out of the bay to explore a reef.

The finest horses are owned and managed by Paul Wojciechowski and Jill Hurd. Jill, of Danish descent, was born and raised on St. Croix and has been riding the hills for years. She can tell you about the history of the islands; the flora, fauna, and a host of facts about St. Croix to highlight your vacation.
Approximately a 1.5 hour tour, with an extra half-hour for check-in and mounting. Rides are available for families with little kids or older folks. Private rides by special request can be arranged at additional cost with several days notice (but are unlikely to be available around holidays).

An amazing wood shop located in the heart of the Rain Forest. All the products here are made from native wood. Mahogany is frequently used. They have a large assortment of things, from furniture to accessories. The owner will hand engrave your purchases. There are some magnificent blocks and stumps lining the entrance road.
St. George Village Botanical Garden of St. Croix is located on a sixteen-acre site just off the Queen Mary Highway.
The botanical collections, including over 1500 native and exotic species and varieties, are established in and around the restored buildings and stabilized ruins of a 19th century Danish sugar cane plantation.
The Museum Store is open from 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Saturday and offers a variety of tropical whimsies. The retail nursery is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 11 am, and for special sales.
