I have been to St. Martin twice in the last year and they have so many wonderful restaurants but this was my favorite and my favorite cuisine is not Italian. It is in Cupecoy at the Atlantis Casino. We went there the 1st day of our stay in St. Martin. We loved it so much we went back the last day. There were 8 adults in our group and all of us voted it as our favorite restaurant of the trip. It was very reasonably priced with large portions. My sister and I split a salad and entry and we could not even finish it, we were so full. But, it did not stop us from getting coconut ice cream, which was to die for! It was sooooo good! I highly recommend this wonderful place.

    • La Vie en Rose

A handsome upstairs establishment overlooking Marigot’s picturesque harbour and Marina Fort-Louis, the intimate and romantic ambiance with its subtle and elegant decor, ceiling fans, candlelit tables and balcony are evocative of a tropical version of Paris in the 1920’s.

In 2004, La Vie En Rose celebrated its 25th anniversary. As one of St Martin/St Maarten’s founding restaurants, it has since become a renowned island institute for exquisite French cuisine setting the standards for many of it’s newer successors. Through hurricanes, new island developments, and perpetual change, La Vie En Rose has remained constant, retaining the superior qualities which have invariably named it “La Grande Dame”.

Mon-Sat 11:30am-3pm; daily 6:30-10pm. Location: Bd. de France at rue de la République, Marigot, St. Martin. Reservations recommended as far in advance as possible, especially in winter .

St. Martin is known as the “Gastronomic Captial of the Caribbean” and you’ll understand after an evening at Temptation. Celebrity Chef Dino Jagtani is a Culinary Institute of America graduate. At Temptation he focuses on Nouveau Caribbean cooking. For starters, try the Lump Crab Cake with "Joe’s Stone Crab House" famous mustard sauce, and bacon-celery root salad or the Butternut Squash Bisque. It’s a velvety soup with hazelnut oil and cinnamon-orange foam. The "Reef and Beef" with garlic sautéed lobster tail and hoisin-braised beef short ribs is exquisite. And if you have room for dessert, the Crème Brulee Sampler with chocolate, lemongrass, vanilla, and passionfruit will satisfy that sweet tooth. Temptation was recently awarded “Restaurant of the Year” by GaultMillau Guide and named as one of the top 10 new restaurants in the Carribean by Bon Appeitit magazine. This hot spot is conveniently located in the Gourmet Village at the Atlantis World Casino, just past the Mullet Bay golf course.
