If you're staying on Kauai and want a mid-point place to stay between Poipu and Princeville, I would recommend the Lae Nani in Kapaa.
We were in a two-bedroom upper unit condo. It was quite large with two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, great ocean views, large lanai. Our only complaint was night-time noise from the parking lot (something easily remedied by requesting specific locations)
We also noticed the upper floor units were better than the lower floor units. There was a nice little ocean cove for the kiddies surrounded by boulders for safety, as well as an unprotected cove for the adults. Though the ocean was a bit more rough in this area (open ocean), it was good for a dip.
The pool area was nice with big lawn areas. There was even an ancient Heiu located on the grounds for exploring. You can quite easily take an oceanview walk along the Coconut Coast(approx. 1.5 miles). Another plus was seeing endangered Monk Seals sunning themselves on the beach along the walk. |
