Great for families with older children.
Beit Hawa translates to “good wind” in Arabic, and the villa was named after the steady island breezes which refresh and cool the home. This villa sits in an exclusive neighborhood overlooking Rendezvous Bay, also known as Boatman Point.
Ocean views surround the multi-leveled villa, which is elevated on a rugged hillside above the sea. Native stonework borders the main deck, which is secured by two massive elephant doors imported from India. Water trickles down from the fountain in the plunge pool, and a short set of stairs leads down to the hot tub and observation deck. Loungers and armchairs furnish the sundeck, and a barbecue grill and dining table sit nearby. Towels, chairs, coolers, and bags are available for beach days.
Beit Hawa opens to a spectacular view of Rendezvous Bay. Sunrises glow over the unspoiled peninsula, and stars twinkle in the night sky. The living room’s floor-to-ceiling windows draw in natural light, and cushioned furnishings add space to sit while enjoying the view. Get a closer look at the island with the villa’s telescope, or watch the big game on the cable/Dish TV. The indoor dining area opens to the outdoor dining table and the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is outfitted with standard appliances, cookware, and a breakfast bar. Beit Hawa also enjoys WiFi, a washing machine, and a dryer. Each of the villa’s three bedrooms has a bathroom and a private balcony. Upstairs, there are two lofted suites with twin beds and a shared bathroom. The master suite is on the ground level, separated from the main house, and has an outdoor shower.
Beit Hawa is 10-15 minutes from Cruz Bay and the North Shore beaches. There are several quiet beaches along the southern shore, and hiking trails are hidden all over the island. Beit Hawa also has a caretaker apartment with a separate entrance below the main house.
