A beautiful villa style home with an infinity pool and a very short stroll down to a pebbled beach.
Nothing bad to say really, the gorunds could use a litle TLC, walkway lights, driveway lights were out which made it a little challenging coming back at night.
Overall a wonderfull experience.

Carnival Beach House had it all for our family of six. It offers a lovely, private, beach right out your door and also the convenience of a 10 minute ride into town. The layout of the house suited all our needs and afforded each couple plenty of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and there were multiple outside settings to enjoy meals al fresco. We enjoyed the beautiful pool a great deal especially with the sun setting and sail boats coming into the tiny bay to anchor for the evening.
Would we stay here again? You bet!

This was a first for us using the services of Where to Stay. They made organizing our trip to St John a breeze. Their recommendations for provisioning the house before our arrival, baby supply rentals, drivers, massage therapists, etc…we’re all spot on! Betsy was terrific and kept in touch through out the process.

This villa is beautiful. Roomy and comfy with beautiful outdoor space by the pool and off the living room and master bedroom. Close to the restaurants in Cruz Bay but quiet with lovely views and a nice rocky beach to snorkel from. The pool is fantastic and much needed as its a very warm part of St John with little breeze to cool it down. We usually stay higher up in elevation and in 25 years have never used air conditioning at any of the homes we’ve rented but it is a must at Carnival Beach House. We will and have recommended this home to others but do need to mention that even though its close to town the WIFI and our phone connections were sketchy at best. If anyone was counting on good WIFI to be able to work from the villa they might rethink this one. That’s why we did 4 stars instead of 5. If staying connected isn’t that important you will enjoy Carnival Beach House. Shawna at Where To Stay was extremely helpful and easy to work with.

Shawna was very helpful and easy to work with. When our original villa rental was sold and the new owners decided not to rent we were in a bind. Shawna helped us with a new place. She put up with me not answering my e-mails as we were on St John for the weeks she was trying to contact me and I was disconnecting- apparently too well. I would and have recommended Where To Stay and Shawna to others.

Our favorite spots were the pool (water was so warm), the pool deck and relaxing on the porch! The relaxing morning views and the breathtaking sunsets were amazing!
A very comfortable villa but we found it had wall-to-wall furniture which meant you had to move the loveseat sightly to be able to squeeze in to sit down. The grill was unable to fire up even after changing the tank. It was hard to locate which light switch went with what light or fan. These need to be labeled. A/C in master set on lowest temp of 62 but did not cool room down even with ceiling fan. Need some blinds on the pool side french doors to block out the hot afternoon rays that heat up the villa. Oh, the master bathroom has no a/c and WAS EXTREMELY HOT! Had to put my makeup on in the living room with a small hand mirror!
Need a light bulb in the lamp in the living room located between both loveseats. This lamp would be ideal to use for reading but no bulb and no where to plug it in!!
NOW THE FUN PART: There was a brief power outage around 9pm on our 4th night at the villa. We were in our pjs watching tv when the lights went out.
We grabbed the small hand flashlights & my husband wanted to go out & see if the entire hillside was dark. In a few minutes the lights started coming back on. We started to go back inside but the door was locked. Here we are outside in our pjs, sandals & only a flashlight. NO PHONE, NO KEYS TO OUR JEEP, NO PAPERWORK ABOUT WHO TO CALL! Other than the door we came out of, the rest of the doors & windows were locked up tight for going to bed.
We walked up the hill to the Latitude villa where there were a lot of lights on. This wonderful family from Florida welcomed us in and long story short….(there is more we could tell you about calling the police who were no help, etc. but you don’t have enough space for me to fill in)we spent the night on their couch & loveseat, they fed us breakfast & then when the Latitude office opened the next morning called them to get in touch with our villa managers. Our villa manager, Deloris came over 15 minutes later with a handful of keys but could not open the door. She called Anthony, the maintenance guy who came after 20 mins to try & get the door open. Well…he pried and pushed the door handle & then part of the handle fell off…inside the villa. STILL LOCKED OUT! He ended up getting a small crow bar and pried the door handle off.
So, it is the next morning and around 10:00 am before we could get in & out of these pjs! It appeared that the sea salts and some corrosion had damaged the lock and it had to be replaced. Anthony was pleasant and prompt about changing out the door handle. We spent the rest of the day just relaxing by the pool since we were exhausted from our adventure the night before!!
All in all, we had a wonderful time at Carnival Beach House and boy, what stories we took back home to our family & friends!
The wonderful and generous family we met from Florida became instant friends and will always be part of this memorable vacation!

Shawna is always top notch and very detail oriented. We know we can always sit back and she will get everything done and solved before we start on our vacations. Her replies to emails are prompt and thorough.
