Esperanza Villa is a wonderful vacation home for families. Located on Maria Bluff and overlooking Chocolate Hole, this 5-bedroom 5-bathroom home is comfortable and spacious, and offers everything from a swimming pool to beach toys. It also comes with a cooler and plenty of chairs for a trip to the local beach.
Esperanza Villa is a beautiful 5-bedroom, 5-bath villa, set high on Maria Bluff with wonderful views into Chocolate Hole. This spacious home has many different places to sit and enjoy the views. In fact, looking down into the Caribbean Sea from the large pool deck, guests can often see turtles or rays in the clear waters below. Also note that Avalon Villa is particularly kid-friendly with toys, kid sized furniture as well as pool safety features.
The large and comfortably furnished Great Room has a great view, and the covered deck offers plenty of shade. All five of the bedrooms include air-conditioning, ceiling fans for added comfort, as well as en-suite bathrooms for added privacy.
Pack-n-Play, high chair, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers (large and small) beach bags.
There is a caretaker cottage at the entrance to the property. The caretakers are available to help with any questions or operational concerns.

Esperanza Villa, St. John reviewVisited: July 2016
Villa Esperanza is a very nice place, but it shows its age. When we checked in the greeter told us that right after we checked out the whole place was going to be refurbished so I don't know how relevant this review will be.
All the screens and screen doors need replacement. Both the website and the greeter claimed that there was a safe in every bedroom and only the master bedroom had a safe. The pictures show a tv in every bedroom and there is only one in the great room. We really didn't spend much time watching tv so that was fine. The cooking utensils in the kitchen especially the knives need replacement. The chemicals in the pool and the hot tub are very strong and I am not sure what they are using because it does not smell like chlorine.
All that said the WhereToStay staff were fantastic. They responded to every request that we had to repair or provide something immediately. The location of the house is great. The breezes are wonderful and unlike many parts of St John you can run in the neighborhood. Once it is refurbished Esperanza will be a fantastic place to stay.
WheretoStay is an awesome company to work with.
