Mango Point Villa is one of the hidden away houses which will both amaze and thrill anyone who stays here. The four bedrooms will accommodate a good sized family, and the options of activities will excite anyone, whether a nature enthusiast, or simply someone on vacation for rest and relaxation. Whatever you want to do on your Caribbean vacation, this may be the place which has the most to offer. Water sports are within a few minutes and the snorkelling in this area is spectacular. The hillside is stunning, with a lush tropical flavor and views which cannot be matched. This is a great option for families, and even has accommodations for younger children, such as a crib in one of the master bedrooms. The housekeeper will help with getting meals ready, and the entire staff has an island reputation for being warm and welcoming.
Mango Point Villa is tucked away in a beautiful back pocket of St. Lucia. It is situated on 5 acres of lush tropical hillside facing Soufriere Bay and the Pitons in the Caribbean Sea.
Red roofs, thick island stone walls, and graceful archways set the tone for this distinctive house, nestled in the Anse Chastanet area. Trade winds cool the house at 300 feet above sea level; the house opens all its doors towards the sea, looking out over a tropical garden. It has 5,000 square feet under high vaulted ceilings with hand-carved island wood beams and paddle fans.
The living area is furnished with imported furniture, while the bedrooms have a West Indian feeling. Two of the bedrooms have West Indian four-poster beds. Steps down is the third suite, a creole tree house, painted blue and white both inside and out. This charming room has a queen-size ironwork canopy bed and enjoys deck views. All oversized bedrooms have large closets, quality linens, safes, ceiling fans, and bath ensuite facilities.
A bedroom with twin beds can accommodate two more guests. (A single bed is available in one of the master bedrooms as well as a crib}. Much care has gone into the quality, security, and comfort of this villa. The large kitchen is fully equipped. The laundry room is adjacent to the kitchen.
The 32-foot x 16-foot private pool seems suspended at the edge of the hillside, faceing the majestic Pitons, with spacious decks and 6 lounge chairs where you can relax. A gazebo is nearby and watching the sailing vessels trail by is a favorite pastime.
The palm-lined Anse Chastanet beach is one of the loveliest in St. Lucia. It is a 15-minute walk down hill from the villa. It is a reef paradise for divers and snorkelers. Tennis can be arranged close to the villa.
Pamela is the housekeeper, and she is an excellent cook and prepares delicious dinners. She also knows how to mix delicious rum punches, daiquiris, pina coladas, or fruit cocktails. Felicia keeps the house orderly, prepares breakfasts, great salads and sandwiches, and does the house laundry.
The road up to the villa is quite steep, a 4wd vehicle is advised.

Mango Point Villa, St. Lucia reviewVisited: May 2015
Rooms large and airy. View of pitons fantastic; large doors in each room open to beautiful views and scross air currents. Cleaning, cooking, and grounds maintenance people very friendly and helpful. Had two dinners cooked and they were wonderful. Luscious souffles! No AC, so got a little hot when only a little air movement. To get air movement, had to keep doors open which leads to some bugs, but beds have mosquito netting. Drive up to villa very steep and road very bad. Easy access to beach 15 minutes walk or short drive from villa, with very good snorkeling right there. Recommend this villa highly.
All went smoothly with WhereToStay and Andrew always very helpful and prompt with reponses.

We are still in St. Lucia at the time of writing this email, at the airport to be honest.
Mango Point has the most amazing views of the pitons and sea. The villa is fully equipped with nice bedrooms, a lovely large pool, showers, kitchen, DVD, etc. Also, the villa has a lovely lounge area which is very large. The views in the morning and at sunset are just picture perfect.
The beach is just a 15-minute walk. In addition, the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Pamela, Felicia and Cee will see to your meals - which are very nice. Emmanuel, the housekeeper, is wonderful at arriving early morning. Mr. Jones, the taxi driver will take you everywhere you need to go.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Finally, Andrew was the most helpful person I've come across. He saw to our every need by email. He's a great communicator and helped us immensely.

There were eight of us from the USA, and we stayed ten days.
Mango Point boasts an awesome view of the pitons. It's a wonderful villa. The weather was perfect, and there were no mosquitoes.
The cooks were also wonderful. I can't say enough about this place.
