The reason for Villa Panorama’s name is self-evident: The vistas from its spacious terrace, living area and even its kitchen are some of the most captivating on the St. Barth. With its location on the Toiny hillside, in a quiet area of the island, the luxury rental property looks out over the bay of Grand Cul de Sac. On the terrace, you can bathe in the sun while the sun traces its leisurely arc from dawn into dusk. Peaceful and tranquil, this vacation home is a place where you quickly shake off workaday cares, slipping easily into a languid Caribbean rhythm.
Villa Panorama is part of the Panorama Estate and can be rented singly or along with Villa Soleil Levant, which is right next door. The two villas share a private driveway. Guests who choose this option will have a small compound of beautiful space, one that’s convenient and very conducive to hosting larger groups—and perhaps you could sweeten the celebration by organizing, in advance, an intimate cocktail party or calling in one of the island’s top chef’s for a memorable family dinner.
Taken on its own, Villa Panorama comprises two levels. Through the entryway upstairs lies the light-filled living room, whose white floors and white vaulted ceiling increase its feeling of restful spaciousness. Right outside its wide glass doors, which slide open to let in the breeze, is one of the villa’s two swimming pools. Off to one side of the living room is an eat-in kitchen, which is also light-filled and looks out over views of sea and sky. To the other side are two bedrooms, one of which has a sea view. The remaining two bedrooms, both of which have sea views, are downstairs, along with the second pool and vast terrace. The bedrooms all have new linens, a neutral and understated color palette, and eye-catching artwork by painter Zaza Noah.
This generous outdoor space makes the villa an excellent site to host a small gathering. But should you want to venture out, Hotel Le Toiny, with its spa cottage and superb Restaurant Le Gaïac, is very close by.
