Royal Villa 1 is part of Barbados’ Royal Westmoreland Resort, home to some of the island’s finest cuisine, golf courses, tennis courts, and shopping. This modern, coral stone villa has stunning garden, pool, and coastal views.
Guests at Royal Villa 1 have complimentary access to a 7-seater vehicle, which makes it easy to access the beach, activities, and shops. The villa’s circular pool sits between the lounging terrace and the landscaped lawn. There are loungers with and without umbrellas, so guests can relax outside without getting sunburned. From the terrace, guests can access the ground floor bedrooms. Both bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom with a shower and dual vanity, but the king also has a tub. The king bedroom has a TV and walk-in closet, and the twin bedroom has a walk-in closet. Upstairs, there’s a dining balcony with immediate access to the living room and kitchen. The interior has chic, neutral decor and lots of natural light. The living room is equipped with seating, a flatscreen TV, Bose stereo, DVD player, and docking station. To the right is the modern kitchen, which is equipped with stainless steel appliances, a coffeemaker, and a breakfast bar. There is also a dining table that seats 6. The third bedroom is on this level as well, with a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The Royal Westmoreland Resort is minutes from Barbados’ Platinum Coast, and restaurants are only three minutes away. Shopping and culture in Holetown is only 10 minutes away if guests want a change of scenery.

Superb Villa
Royal Villa 1 - Royal Westmoreland, Barbados villa review
Royal Villa 1 is a very impressive villa with three large ensuite bedrooms, a dining area, and a spacious sitting room off the main Royal Westmoreland estate. The villa was bright, airy, well decorated, and had a very well equipped kitchen with everything that you could possibly need on a holiday. The furniture all seems new and meets a high standard.
The swimming pool was kept very clean and there are plenty of sun beds, umbrellas, and chairs. The gardens surrounding the villa are beautiful and maintained to a very high standard. The ocean view from the balcony is stunning.
The villa is looked after by a housekeeper, Cheril, who did a fantastic job in ensuring the villa is kept immaculate. She recently was awarded the best Housekeeper in Royal Westmoreland and it is easy to see why!
One thing to be aware of is this villa’s location. It’s adjacent to the road running north from Holetown, and at certain times the traffic is noisy! However, this is a minor criticism of what is overall a lovely villa.
This is the second time that we have booked a holiday through Andrew and WhereToStay.com, and we have always been impressed with the ease of their booking process. We also received comprehensive information throughout every stage of the holiday, which ensured that it all ran smoothly.
