Tamarind is perfect for two families to share, because each level has its own living area and balcony or terrace. Both living areas have a library and dining space. The kitchen is upstairs, but the lower level’s wet bar is great for making coffee or smoothies in the morning and drinks at night. Best of all, it’s only a five minute drive to Shoal Bay East - one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Looks like the only thing missing here is a hefty price tag.

Tamarind Villa is just a five minute drive from Shoal Bay East and Scilly Cay. With large rooms and comfortable furnishings, its the perfect place for family and friends to relax and enjoy one another.
A wading area sits at the head of the mosaic-tiled pool, which is located in the middle of a terra cotta terrace. Loungers and umbrellas surround the pool, and lush greenery borders the terrace. An al fresco dining table is under the veranda, and there’s more dining and lounging space on the balcony above. There’s also a charcoal grill for poolside barbecues. The terrace and balcony wrap around both levels of the villa, and offer panoramic island views.
The upper level features an open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen. The kitchen features marble countertops, standard appliances, and a coffeemaker. Guests can eat at the kitchen’s dining nook or in the dining table by the balcony. The living room has cushioned rattan seating and a library. Each of these spaces enjoys ocean views through the sliding glass doors. The lower level has its own living room, dining area, and wet bar. This level’s living area has a library and TV, and the dining table is by the terrace.
All five bedrooms have air-conditioning and an ensuite bathroom. On the upper level, there are three bedrooms and on the lower level, there are two bedrooms. The queen suite upstairs opens to the balcony. The two twin suites upstairs can both be made up as king suites. Downstairs, there’s a king suite that opens to the pool deck, as well as a queen suite. The entire interior has WiFi, and maid service maintains the villa daily.
Tamarind Villa is only three minutes from the nearest restaurants. Shoal Bay has several restaurants and activities, including glass-bottomed boat tours and SCUBA excursions.

Tamarind Villa, Anguilla villa review
It is always a pleasure to stay at Tamarind Villa during my yearly trip to Anguilla. This was our 6th time using the villa and it truly feel likes home. The villa has all of the amenities that would be needed for a comfortable home away from home. The staff was attentive and addressed any issues that came up.
It is great to have the security of the gate. However, perhaps having an additional opener would prove helpful. Also having to hop in/out the vehicle to close the garage can be annoying. I am unsure if there is a remote that can close it when you are leaving.
As I mentioned, this is my 6th visit to Tamarind Villa. There are stains on the bedroom curtains which probably cannot be removed. Perhaps it is time for them to be replaced. It also would be ideal to have more pool floaties. I purchased tubes and left them there for the next guests.
Overall, our stay was good.
Shawna was attentive to answering all questions and made sure that we had all the pertinent information needed to travel to Anguilla. She is great with following up.

Tamarind Villa, Anguilla villa review
Our stay at Tamarind Villa was simply fantastic. We had a party of 10 celebrating a 40th Birthday and the villa was perfect. The views from the verandah of the Caribbean Sea was spectacular. All of the rooms were very comfortable as well as the living rooms and kitchen. The pool was great and the location near Shoal Bay beach, Zemi Beach, Island Harbor and a quick 3 min drive to Le Bon Pain (one of the best French bakeries I have ever been to) made it very convenient. Our villa Manager and Attendant were incredibly helpful. Our stay at Tamarind Villa was….simply, fantastic!
Working with Shawna and WhereToStay was a breeze. Shawna was incredibly responsive and while we know the island well, her recommendations are spot on if someone is going to Anguilla for the first time, I would highly recommend Shawna and WhereToStay!

Tamarind Villa, Anguilla villa review
Tamarind Villa is my ‘go to’ home whenever I visit Anguilla. There is enough space that allows everyone to come together or be in various areas without feeling overcrowded. the view of the ocean from the upper balcony is breathtaking.
Each room has its own ensuite bathroom, which makes it easy to gether ready for a day of exploring the island. The pool (area) is perfect for meditation, working (if you have to) or just simply relaxing and enjoying your vacation. It was great that there were plenty of beach towels available.
With the delay of my arrival, I am so happy that the option to have groceries delivered was available. This, in itself, gave me one less thing to worry about.
Overall, everyone really enjoyed Tamarind Villa and look forward to returning in 2022.
My experience with WhereToStay and Shawna was great. This stay was planned for 2020 but due to the pandemic, it had to be moved.
Shawna was proactive in keeping me up-to-date on all of the pertinent details for our 2021 trip to Anguilla. She was attentive to our needs and checked in often with any changes that were made regarding entry to Anguilla.
Shawna is always a joy to work with.
