Just two minutes from the beach, Bluff House and Cottage is great for families and friends traveling together. The main house has six bedrooms while the cottage offers an additional two bedrooms. There is lots of communal living space, and the onsite staff will make sure that all your needs are met during your stay. There’s a large pool and terrace for swimming and sunbathing, but if you prefer the sand and surf, walk the private path to the Sandy Lane Beach.

Bluff House has direct access to Sandy Lane Beach. Set in over an acre of tropical gardens, this property is beautifully furnished and elegantly designed.
A stone fountain marks the entrance to Bluff House, and verdant gardens lead inside. At the center of the house, lush plants surround an innovative, open-concept entertaining area. This area flows directly onto the pool deck, with ocean views through the palm trees. Informal dining is available in the garden veranda, and there are several loungers around the pool where guests can enjoy snacks and cocktails. The pool is designed for both wading and swimming laps, so any traveler can enjoy it.
No detail is overlooked at Bluff House, from the gated intercom entrance to the built-in sound system. An impressive coral stone hallway leads to relaxing spaces throughout the villa. The tastefully decorated sitting room is equipped with a library, flatscreen TV, and an entertainment system. A formal indoor dining area, with a beautiful coral stone dining table, adjoins the sitting room. Six stylish, air-conditioned, ensuite bedrooms provide ample accommodation for guests.
On the upper level of the main house, the master bedroom opens to an expansive terrace with ocean and garden views, while the other bedrooms open directly onto the grounds. Downstairs, there are five suites on the main floor that can be accessed from each other or independently. These suites include two king bedrooms and three twin bedrooms that can be converted into kings. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom.
The cottage offers access to Sandy Lane Beach, and lush gardens add privacy and ambience. There are two verandas where guests can dine or lounge al fresco, and both open to the common area. The living room features a flatscreen TV, plush white couches, and a dining table for four. Each of the cottage air-conditioned bedrooms are on different levels, and have their own bathrooms and private balconies.
Bluff House enjoys direct access to Sandy Lane Beach from the property’s private path, and sun loungers are provided. Sandy Lane’s legendary 18-hole course is also easily accessed.

What a place to stay!!
Bluff House - Sandy Lane, Barbados villa review
Bluff House is amazing in and of itself… but the staff, especially Patsy, the housekeeper, make the stay even better. By the time you leave, they feel like family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. This is the best villa I’ve ever stayed at. I was so sad to leave!

Bluff House - Sandy Lane, Barbados villa review
Bluff House was a truly beautiful villa, and its floor plan is perfect for a family with young children. Every superbly delicious meal was served in a formal setting in the outdoor dining room, and the staff was especially aware of the needs and preferences of our five young grandchildren. While the entire staff was enjoyable, the butler and chef were especially skilled at hospitality and cuisine. We all agreed that they are the finest anywhere, no doubts about that! The daily laundry service and housekeeping were also outstanding, and the round-the-clock security service added an extra bit of relaxation that all the guests appreciated. In addition, the villa was only a three-minute walk to the fantastic beach, complete with lounge furniture and beach towels. The beautiful pool provided much swimming fun in full view of both living rooms. On the day of our departure, all of us were feeling sad and hopeful that one day we might return. The butler told us that we came as visitors and were leaving as family. Affectionally, we agreed with her and never said “goodbye,” just “see you again.”
Shawna was a pleasure to work with and very helpful in responding to our many questions and requests. If she was not in the office, another WhereToStay agent was our contact until Shawna returned. We appreciated all the help in coordinating a fabulous vacation.
