Tara Villa is excellent, not just as a villa, but because of the location and service. This was our second visit to the villa, and every moment was just as good as the first time. The housekeeper and cook looked after all of our needs and kept the villa in excellent condition.

Tara Villa and its staff were as advertised. The location is very convenient to everything. Merle is a very good cook, but be prepared to tell her what you want to eat and to take her to the grocery store and fish market to purchase what she needs. Review the villa journal’s suggestions and comments within the first 6 hours for valuable information and directions. We can highly recommend Tiami’s small group catamaran cruise, Sea Shed’s beachfront restaurant at Mullins Beach, the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, and Harrison’s Cave.
Reality check - our group was 6 adults and 2 young children. Any staffed villa can be very good value to a group of adults looking for a late breakfast or brunch (staffed 9am-1pm) and later dinner (staffed 5-8pm). The value is less obvious when two young families are up, active, and hungry before 7:30am. There were a couple of days when we were heading out for the day as the staff arrived. Sunday is the staff’s day off. Monday, there was no power from 7am to 6pm, and Tuesday from 7am to late morning. Larger restaurants and businesses have generators. Our first staff-prepared breakfast was on Wednesday - our 4th morning there. We ate out more than we planned.

Andrew was very helpful leading up to our trip. The crib and high chair he arranged were very good quality. All food provisions were arranged for our arrival dinner on Saturday night, which was excellent - especially since our flights were late and we arrived just in time for dinner.
