Cayo Espanto Private Island Resort is everything its name implies - luxuriously private. This 4-acre island offers seven oceanfront villas, and was recently named the #1 Honeymoon Spot in the world! Cayo Espanto is the perfect setting for a romantic island wedding, honeymoon, or small group or family getaway for up to a total of 18 guests.
Located three miles from San Pedro in the calm waters of the Western Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Belize, Cayo Espanto truly is a secluded vacation retreat. The heart and soul of Cayo Espanto is to provide pampered relaxation, privacy, and superb service. Before guests arrive, they receive advance questionnaires so the staff will understand their food likes and dislikes, their desired level of attentiveness, favorite drinks, etc. When their flight lands in San Pedro, guests are greeted by the Cayo Espanto staff and escorted (via an 8-minute boat ride) to the resort. The entire staff lines up on the dock to personally welcome each arriving guest with a friendly wave and a cool, refreshing drink.

| Transfers | A Cayo Espanto Staff Member will meet you outside Customs at the Belize International Airport. Guests flying to San Pedro, will proceed around the corner to Maya Island Air where they check in for their flight. Round trip travel on Island Air costs about $126 US including taxes and fees. 17 minute flight. You can pay with a credit card. All the arrangements can be made for you. Flights are frequent. A five passenger Cessna 206 can be chartered for about $350.00 US (one way). This is an excellent option that can reduce wait times. The flight time is 17 minutes. You will be met at the San Pedro airport by the Cayo Espanto staff and taken via golf cart directly to one of their shuttle boats just a few hundred yards away. You will enjoy a 7 minute ride to Cayo Espanto. Your luggage will be handled for you the entire time. If you have made prior arrangements with Cayo Espanto to be met at the International Airport for transfer to the island via boat shuttle, you will be met just beyond customs. The staff will then take you on a 5 minute taxi ride to the boat and then a one-hour ride directly to Cayo Espanto. The charge for this service is $500.00 US and is available weather permitting. |
