Know Before You Go...
If you are looking for luxury and endless amenities, Sterling House fits the bill. The owner is an artist, and displays her beautiful oil paintings throughout the villa. There's a gorgeous chandelier above the entryway that was rescued from a Spanish monastery, and there's not a bad place to see the sunset. From the infinity pool, to the spa, to the outdoor living/dining space, to the balconies, you'll be stunned by the sunset at every turn.
Beachfront on Long Bay beach!
Sterling Villa sits on the cliffside of Long Bay beach, with ocean views from every room. Three stories of warm, Spanish style living spaces and a spiraling tower set this beachfront villa apart from other properties. The villa is designed to take in every view, and the sunsets are breathtaking from every vantage point.
A lawn in front of the villa leads to a private stretch of Long Bay. The veranda can be accessed from every room, and has plenty of seating for everyone. Outside, the heated infinity pool juts over the cliffside to offer a panoramic ocean view, with a spa area, massage waterfall, and a deck that wraps around three sides. The second heated pool overlooks the beach, and has therapeutic jets and a massage waterfall. The covered deck has Spanish arches that frame the view of islands on the horizon. A kitchenette with stainless steel appliances and a BBQ grill sits behind the dining area, so guests can feast al fresco.
This area blends with the Great Room, and automatic shades slide down at the press of a button to separate the spaces. This space includes the living room, dining room, and kitchen, with an integrated sound system throughout. Sofas in the living room face the ocean view, and the dining room seats 8 under a wrought-iron chandelier. A balcony surrounds the Great Room, with several dining nooks and lounging areas throughout. The custom kitchen is fully equipped with two dishwashers, a commercial stove, a breakfast bar, and a flat screen TV hidden behind sleek cabinetry. A long breakfast bar wraps around the outside of the kitchen, so guests can watch the villa's cook prepare their meals or take part themselves. A marble staircase spirals upwards in its own tower, and connects the Great Room with the villa's bedroom suites.
Sterling House's suites are just as luxurious as the rest of the house. Each bedroom has ocean views, a king-sized four-poster bed, sitting room, large walk-in closet, and ensuite bathroom. The Palm Suite has its own Hot Springs Spa with beach and ocean views, as well as a sitting room with a wide screen TV. This room is perfect for parents who want privacy and relaxation. The Sea Grape Suite has two bathrooms and a sitting room that doubles as an additional suite thanks to a Murphy bed. This room is perfect for young children or a family to share. The Hibiscus and Sunset Suites on the first floor are connected via an adjoining living room, pool kitchen, veranda, and al fresco dining. These suites are great for teenagers who want their own space. These two bedrooms both have exterior access, and are connected to the main house. The studio suite houses the owner's oil paintings, and has its own balcony with beach and ocean views, an ensuite bathroom, a kitchen, queen bedroom, and a private entrance. The studio is ideal for older guests who want peace and quiet away from the hustle of the main house. An exterior staircase leads to the entertainment room, which has a home theater and wet bar. This circular room is in its own tower, so guests will have minimal distractions if they're enjoying a film.
Guests can find deserted swimming holes at the west end of Long Bay and incredible snorkeling at Smugglers Bay 5 minutes away. Two restaurants, Tropical Fusion and Long Bay Rest, are within walking distance from the villa. It's a 2-minute drive to restaurants like Sebastian's, Bomba Shack, Sugar Mill and D'Coal Pot. Take a water taxi to Jost Van Dyke, and snorkel at Virgin Gorda or the caves on Norman Island.
