Our family stay at The Point at Maria Bluff was absolutely perfect in every way. The house was beautiful beyond our expectations. Everyone had plenty of room and privacy, yet our fun family gatherings centered around the fabulous edge pool with its amazing and expansive views of the ocean and islands beyond, enhanced by lots of great music that we played over the awesome sound system. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore including the circular staircase up to the Turret deck and vista. A resident iguana we nicknamed “Issac” perched on a branch off the master bath window greeted us every morning! This home is beautifully furnished and appointed, bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfy, and our calls for a few service issues were promptly addressed. Perfect for 4 Couples
The Point at Maria Bluff, St. John villa review
We had a blast. The set up for 4-couples was great! We hired in a catered dinner one night and ate on the veranda. Kitchen may be a touch small for 8 people but we made it work. Being on the point made for a great view but it was windy at times we were there as we encounter some bad weather for a couple days so you really feel the wind being on the point. Overall a great place for 8 people and the location was awesome!

We had a great experience with our stay here!! Loved all the outdoor living, pool & hot tub! Great location on the Island. The house was equipped with everything we needed! The main 3 bedrooms were awesome and loved the big outdoor showers in each bathroom. The 4th bedroom (downstairs) could use a little TLC.
We definitely highly recommend this home and plan on coming back here on our next trip to St. John!!!
We had some issues regarding our booking. We wanted some friends to rent the cottage but they wouldn’t rent to them without re-doing our entire contract for the house. They should have allowed this as a separate transaction!!

Beautiful View

Our family of 7 enjoyed the point very much the view was amazing and we enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. We also enjoyed the sound system. It really was a beautiful home but a few upgrades would make it better. #1 the fridge doesn’t get that cold its old as well as the stove. Also wanted to mention that we were aware there was no a/c in living/kitchen it was extremely hot if i had to do it again I wouldn’t rent a villa without full a/c. #2 I found it very strange you had front doors without any glass in the doors and locks all you had to do was reach and unlock the door so although the bedrooms lock individually and the living area locks as well anyone can easily get in to the outside area of the property just as soon as you open the bedroom doors.
#3 We understand the cabin can be rented separately but it was on the same property and we just felt uncomfortable with other people renting the cottage while we were there. All in all its a beautiful villa but simple maintenance and security would make it a lot better especially with children.

Yes, it’s better than the pictures! Kudos to the architect, very well done. The master shower is out of this world amazing! The octagon sitting area listening to the waves against the rocks is so relaxing! We ate every meal out at the patio table. Pool is lovely and refreshing! The neighborhood was so quiet ! Winnie met us at Cool Breeze Jeep and was so helpful and polite! Fastest week of our life !!
Jean was wonderful to work with! Warren Gordon Taxi scheduled at the last minute saved us time and we got on the 2 o’clock ferry! Maybe tell your guests if they want groceries stocked, they need to order 1 month ahead of check-in. I waited until 2 weeks and all the spots were already taken.

The Villa was absolutely beautiful, the location was perfect, the views were stunning. The decor was lovely with kitchen fully stocked. Availability for coolers, beach chairs umbrella, pool noodles was great.
Andrew was great with multiple follow ups and suggestions. His responses was timeline! The initiative to reach out with reminders of things to do was a great service.

Believe it or not, pics and videos do not justice to this mind blowing property. From the time you enter through the main door to a spectacular view of the ocean to the time spent with family and friends in the common areas and in the privacy of one’s bedroom, this villa is fantastic.
The floor plan is very well laid out. The property was immaculately maintained. Shawna was fantastic to work with!
Few things I would recommend is to upgrade all the kitchen appliance to meet the rest of the standards through the villa. The dryer upstairs was not working but there was one downstairs which was fine.
All in all, we had a great time. Great property. wonderful agent. Will have no problems recommending this place to anyone.

The Point at Maria Bluff is a beautiful villa in a fabulous location close to Cruz Bay. The four king-bedded bedrooms are equal in size and amenities, making the villa perfect for four couples. We spent many happy hours on the viewing deck, enjoying the fabulous view, the sunsets, and the stars. One night, a few of us saw the largest, most vivid shooting star we had ever seen. Shawna is fantastic - I believe she answered her phone on the first ring every time I called with a question! The local property managers, were equally responsive and immediately and cheerfully took care of a few minor glitches we experienced at the villa. I highly recommend this lovely villa!

Fantastic and Amazing Home with only one issue

The Point at Maria Bluff was an absolutely incredible home that was the catalyst for an amazing week of fun and friendship. All of the rooms were exquisite and everyone was very satisfied. The pool and views were absolutely stunning and the beach chairs came in handy.
Our only complaint was the heat in the living room/kitchen area. A/C in that room would be great, but I understand it may not be practical. The sliding glass door next to the kitchen table is only half screened and fully screening that door would allow for better airflow and prevent mosquitos from infiltrating the kitchen. It felt like we had to choose between heat and mosquitos.
Other than that one issue, it was an incredible experience and I thank you all for your help.
Andrew was excellent and the team immediately took care of a couple concerns we had during the week. I would highly recommend anyone to use WhereToStay.com.

Fabulous Villa Vacation!
The Point at Maria Bluff, St. John villa review
We stayed with our family of 5 in the Villa and it was worth every penny! The house was beautiful. The location on the bluff was amazing to say the least. Beautiful sunsets, ideal location, ocean right beneath your feet with a great pool and jacuzzi we used day/night. The house was spacious and open and the rooms were private and comfortable! The grounds of the house are spectacular with coconut, banana trees, flowers and palm trees. Just walking to the front door is a treat! The outdoor showers are an experience you will never have until you stay here.
Eric met us at the car rental shop and brought us to the house to give us an over view of the home. We had a few hiccups with the washer/dryer breaking and the cable not working but all we had to do was call and it was rectified immediately. We got lost our first night going to the house in the dark and all we had to do was make a call and we were directed to the door. They also left a welcome snacks and food in the refrigerator upon our arrival.
We did not want to leave! We would rent this house in future trips to St. John’s without hesitation. I am a very picky person on where I stay and have a hard time relaxing in a hotel or house when we are away but I did not have any issue staying here. It was so relaxing and enjoyable!
You have utter privacy at the Villa! If you are looking for a fabulous house to complete your stay this is it! Just to add the beaches are breath taking and actually look like the photos you see.
We contacted a few other places that were renting the house and we found others to be unhelpful and bothered to answer questions.
I called Shawna after reading reviews about other people’s experience dealing with her and she was great! She answered my calls each time I contacted her, provided information and suggestions of car rentals and other information on how to navigate coming in with the Covid restrictions that actually changed the day before we were to arrive. She was always eager to help and pleasant to deal with!
When setting up the rental she was extremely efficient and each transaction was informative and smooth! I would highly recommend dealing with Shawna if you want a stress free process.

The house was spectacular. Looking down on the rocks and waves below was especially fascinating. We have always gone to St John in the spring when the temperatures were cooler. The house was extremely hot except for the air conditioned bedrooms. In spite of the heat, everyone loved the house.

Amazing getaway in the perfect home

First of all, this trip was originally booked for 2020 and both the homeowner and WhereToStay were awesome about allowing us to push into 2021 due to covid. After waiting anxiously for a year, we finally got there and everything was perfect. From the attendant waiting on us at the ferry to take us to the rental car, to the food delivery service which put all of our groceries in the refrigerator, to the cleanliness of the home/pool. Each room was meticulously cleaned and felt like a 5 star resort. The part of our group staying in the cottage felt the same way. The views were unbelievable and we spent several evenings hanging out at the pool staring at the stars. Kitchen is very small but this left more room for tables and chairs in both the house and the outside living area. Was a perfect trip and the house provided a nice retreat after days at the beach and at sea. Thanks!
Shawna and the WhereToStay team were extremely communicative and responded to all of our questions promptly. They were helpful with everything from booking to traveling and making recommendations for things to do on the island.

We stayed at The Point at Maria Bluff in St. John this past week with four other couples. We worked with Shawna from Wheretostay.com and Shawna and this company made all of our arrangements that we needed for an amazing vacation. There really are no words to explain how beautiful the villa was and the view was beyond anything you could ever imagine. Their website made it so easy to keep track of everything you needed to do and know. We will definitely be using WhereTo Stay.com again in the future! I highly recommend Shawna and this company!

My husband and I have been traveling to St. John for 25 years and The Point is the most beautiful home we have stayed in. It’s all about the location which is exceptional. The pictures do not do it justice. Villa was designed to bring the outside in, which it does from every angle. From the minute you step into the villa, you feel as though you are surrounded by the ocean. For the first time, the villa was the vacation, not just the beautiful beaches of St John.
Villa was beautifully furnished. Plenty of room for outside dining to enjoy the spectacular sunsets. From the infinity pool you can actually hear the waves crashing against the cliff and rocks below! Bedrooms all had exceptional views as well. Outside showers just added to the villa’s charm. Kitchen was well equipped and spotless. Villa afforded plenty of privacy, as we were a party of six.
Cannot wait to return!
Shawna was a pleasure to deal with. She answered my emails immediately and even arranged for a private taxi to and from the airport in St Thomas. Taxi was there and waiting for us. Our representative from WhereToStay was waiting for us on St. John, taking us to the villa and giving us a nice welcome tour. Nice to start off your vacation having everything run so smoothly. Will definitely use them again

We had the pleasure of staying at Maria Bluff for my husband’s 50th birthday with 5 of our closest friends. The pictures online do not do this place justice. It was beyond beautiful. The views are outstanding, we loved the fact that each room was separated from the main house so it was like having your own private villa within the villa. We have been to St John many times in the past but this was certainly the best place I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. I would absolutely stay here again. If you are considering a trip to the island consider Maria Bluff. The house manager was very responsive if we had any questions or concerns as well.
And working with Shawna, well what can I say, she was OUTSTANDING. I had to reach out to her many times due to Covid - our flights were changed, our dates had to change. She was more than accommodating to help us. We needed to stay an extra day and she was amazing at making this happen for us. She was always willing to answer all my questions and very responsive. We plan on another trip next year to another island and would love to work with her again.

This villa is absolutely beautiful. We have been going to St. John for many years and have stayed in several different houses, and The Point at Maria Bluff was by far our favorite. The villa is well-appointed and the location is great. The views are spectacular. We all loved the outdoor showers. I highly recommend staying here.

We spent a week at this amazing property! The Point at Maria Bluff was perfect for our family vacation. The location worked well for us, as it was close to the market and all of the North Shore beaches. The pool was fantastic, and the view was breathtaking. We didn’t want to leave!

Our stay at The Point at Maria Bluff was absolutely awesome. The gorgeous ocean views welcomed us every morning from our bedroom, and the view continued around the pool. We weren’t sure about the outdoor shower, but we ended up really liking it. The home was beautiful. One of the air-conditioners went out and someone was there promptly to repair it. My whole family enjoyed the villa, and we definitely want to return!
Shawna was great to work with, and she helped me through a difficult time. Shawna was very organized, and the whole trip went smoothly because of her!

What a great house! From the well-equipped kitchen to the sound of surf against the rocks below, staying at The Point was a totally awesome experience. The views were spectacular - we saw rainbows almost every day, sometimes a double, and even one with a pot of gold on the rocks just below us. I’m not a hot tub person, but the other couples enjoyed it every night. There was privacy galore. Town and the food markets are just a few minutes down the road, and we used Starfish Market to put a few things in the villa before we arrived. Although it was a bit pricey, it was well worth it to have snacks and beverages at home after a long day of travel. We even got pizza delivered for a late dinner. Although some things were not quite up to snuff (due to the hurricane), I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
WhereToStay was right on point… Sharon was a pleasure to work with, and answered all our questions in a timely manner.

Most Very Good

The Villa is in a perfect location on Maria Bluff. We had 7 guests & the bedrooms with large & private. The biggest issue was the on-going sewage smell which occurred at least once a day. This needs to be fixed before others rent the Villa.
We would love to rent this Villa if this is fixed.

The house was great. Close to town and grocery store. The view was great except for one of the bedrooms. The downside was the dryer didn’t work, the main TV didn’t work, and they never came to fix either of them even though they promised they would. I would stay here again if I was assured these items were working properly.
Betsy was outstanding. She answered all my questions and was very helpful. Will definitely do business with her again.
