Duffy's Love Shack originated in the alleyways of Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas in 1995. A small thatch roof lean-to in Drakes Passage was the birthplace of the first Volcano! In September of 1995 it became the unwilling home to a 40' sailboat when Hurricane Marilyn barreled across the island.
It was rebuilt in its current location in Red Hook, on the east end of St. Thomas and is dubbed the coolest parking lot bar in the Caribbean.Nothing beats a Saturday night at Duffy's. After the shops in Red Hook close and the car park empties, the whole place turns into a Caribbean block party.

Slightly off the beaten path, but only a short and pleasant stroll along Charlotte Amalie's breeze-swept waterfront, is the picturesque harborside community of Frenchtown. It's here that you will find one of St. Thomas' special hideaways, Hook Line & Sinker.
Since 1987, the restaurant has been a favorite gathering spot for both locals and visitors alike. Not only is the food excellent, the service friendly and attentive, but the atmosphere is magical.
The first thing you'll notice is the restaurant's enviable location -- smack dab on the water with a view of the entire harbor and the boats that bob lazily by. Next you'll notice the architecture. Hook Line & Sinker is reminiscent of a restaurant found in a New England seaport village (with a Caribbean accent, of course). From its pitched roof and skylights to the wrap-around French doors and windows, the restaurant is stunningly beautiful.

A well-trained staff serves meals against a backdrop of stained-glass windows and crystal chandeliers. The linguini frutti di mare (with a medley of seafood) is a delectable house special, and the lobster ravioli here is the best there is. Classic dishes are cooked with a distinctive flair -- the rack of lamb shank, for example, is filled with a porcini mushroom stuffing and glazed with a roasted garlic aioli. The marinated grilled duck is served chilled.
