Casa Tua is a modern, beachfront getaway in Lorient, St. Barts. This four-bedroom villa rests in front of the island’s most popular surf break and enjoys direct beach access.

A gate separates the villa’s parking area from the road, but the lapping of the waves and the music playing over the Sonos sound system will drown out any noise outside the villa. The extended lap pool and lounging deck stretch across the back of the villa and offer several places to sunbathe, dine, and relax al fresco. Guests can feast around the dining table, enjoy cocktails from the bar, or rinse the day off in the outdoor shower. There is a sunken seating area with large benches that double as daybeds, and a set of stairs that lead down to the sand. The villa sits around seven feet above Lorient’s slice of the sea. Lorient is a popular surfer’s beach, and the main surf break is right in front of the house, so adventurous travelers can rent boards and try the waves out for themselves.

Large sliding glass doors open from the al fresco dining area into the main room. Two large sectionals face the pool and the sea, and petalled light fixtures fill the vaulted ceiling overhead. On one side of the living area, there is a separate media room with comfortable seating, U.S. and French satellite, AppleTV, and a Sonos sound system. On the other side, there is a spacious kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances, a natural stone table, seating for 8, and a flatscreen TV.

Each of Casa Tua’s four bedrooms has a king bed, ample closet space, U.S. satellite, AppleTV, and an ensuite bathroom. Both of the master suites face the ocean and have double windows to provide peace and quiet. The first master suite’s bathroom features a high-tech, glass shower that can be fully obscured with the touch of a button. The other two rooms rest poolside, and both enjoy access to the terrace.

Casa Tua sits right across the street from Lorient’s famous bakery, so guests can reach freshly baked bread and pastries in a short walk. Shops and restaurants are less than 10 minutes from the villa, and nightlife at Nikki Beach is a short drive away.
