With 4 couples, an April Fools 60th, jeeps with Slim and a nightly chef / sou with Trace and Amelia, we could not have had a more comfortable, relaxing, beautiful vacation.

The views from this home are incredible! Well worth, navigating the “interesting” driveway… which as some of the reviews have noted, you grow accustomed to after the first couple of days. The house was well-equipped and was very comfortable for the ten of us. Shawna and Sharon were extremely helpful, answering all questions and helping with transportation arrangements in advance. The team at Caribbean villas was very responsive to a couple of small needs that occurred during the week (short a beach chair + a broken one, coffee maker issue). Location was perfect. We would definitely rent this property again!

We loved our week in Catherineberg. We were well provisioned and enjoyed our rooms and the outside pool area enormously. You can’t find a better vista on St John. The road is tricky and steep but we are good at that kind of driving.
The house needs tall glasses. It get tiresome drinking plastic wine glasses. We bought and left a good coffee bean grinder…. But all in all, house was perfect. The ice machine upstairs and outdoor dining light did not seem to work. We will definitely be back…. It’s really our fav place after 30 years of coming to island. Thank you!!

Our group of 4 adult couples stayed at Cinnamon Ridge, and we all agree it exceeded our expectations! The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped, and the outstanding views from every room are absolutely breathtaking! There is a large pool and nice hot tub that also take advantage of the views. The drive to the villa is a challenge initially, but we mastered it quickly and feel the location is actually perfect! It is close to the north shore beaches, a 15 minute drive to town, and 5 minutes to the newer Mid Island grocery store and a couple of restaurants. The main areas of the house are not air conditioned, but the continuous breeze kept the home very comfortable. A/C in all of the bedrooms worked well. Will definitely return!

What a view! The pictures don’t do justice to the incredible vista from this house - down to Cinnamon Bay and out to the BVI. The house is incredibly comfortable and stylish. Shawna and her team were super helpful throughout with great recommendations. We loved Trunk Bay beach, a boat ride with Captain Jug, and dinner at Zozos. We will definitely look to return, and to work with Shawna on future trips!

This was my family’s first visit to St. John, and our villa, Cinnamon Ridge, did not disappoint. The home is situated at the very top of a community of 5 or 6 houses, making it a private, quiet estate. The villa was recently updated with a variety of modern touches, from the stylish kitchen to the stone-walled showers in some of the master bathrooms. The layout of the home is such that every bedroom has a stunning view. The view from the living room is so breathtakingly spectacular that it doesn’t even look real. The outdoor space is also fabulous, with tons of deck space and seating, in addition to one of the largest private pools I’ve ever seen. Our family definitely plans to return to St. John and, in particular, to Cinnamon Ridge. Could not recommend this villa more!

We could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay with our family. From the moment we stepped into the villa the views were spectacular!! The layout of the villa was great for our family of ten. We never felt crowded and the bedrooms with their our baths were very nice and clean. We all the loved the pool area after a day at the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

We can’t imagine a better view on the island. Beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets. Waking up to the views never got old and made it hard to leave when our week was up. When you open the sliding doors it made you feel like you were outside. (Just watch for the birds). The outside dining area was perfect for eating, relaxing, and playing games.. Although we were four adult couples, the house would be great for everyone. The pool, deck, and hot tub area was a great place to spend time after a morning at the beach. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We rented through WhereToStay (Cinnamon Villas) and everyone was professional and courteous. Thank you to Andrew, Sharon, and all the staff. Cinnamon Ridge will definitely be at the top of our list the next time we visit the islands.

Andrew, Sharon and the entire staff were great. We had an issue with the hot tub (after a day of rain) and it was fixed the next morning. We would definitely rent through WhereToStay again.

The villa was everything expected and more. Outstanding views, Could not stop looking at gorgeous views from every window. Wonderful layout. I actually loved driving the Jeeps to and from villa. You get use to the drive after a couple of days. Cinnamon Bay beach is beautiful and only a 10 minute drive down the mountain from the villa.. Plenty of space to spread out. There.were 10 of us, and nobody ever felt like we needed more room. Cinnamon Ridge is very private and quiet.. Truly a little slice of paradise. The VIEWS. Amazing.

Our week at Cinnamon Ridge villa was nothing less than superb! The views of the ocean were absolutely breathtaking and we loved watching the sailboats go in and out of the various harbors. My kids loved the pool and hot tub and it was wonderful to have such a great house layout with indoor and outdoor activities. We could tell that a lot of time was spent in the design of this villa. We would definitely recommend having at least one days worth of groceries pre-stocked at the villa and making sure to have a vehicle with four-wheel-drive. There are several switch-backs that one has to use to access the nearest beaches but definitely doable if you have the right vehicle. Chef Matt made us a delicious meal and even my fussy kids loved the fish cake he made. The chocolate cake was probably one of the best chocolate cakes we have had in a long time!! Warren was super helpful with our airport transfer needs and gave an excellent tour of Saint Thomas. Would highly recommend doing an excursion to the neighboring island. Unfortunately with the coronavirus pandemic, a trip to the BVI was not possible but hopefully one day when we return, we can do it. Karma and Sharmal were so quick to get us assistance when we had one of the fire detectors beeping and when we had a small water issue. Overall, a great trip and would highly recommend.

Shawna was amazing with getting our trip set up including the multiple changes that occurred with our flights and also setting up a one-day tour to Saint Thomas and providing recommendations for a private chef dinner.

My experience with home rentals is that they generally don’t live up to the pictures…that was definitely not the case here! Beautiful home with an amazing view. Can’t wait to go back!

We couldn’t have been happier with this villa, that term seems understated, it’s really an immaculate large home! Outdoor terraces for dining, TV watching, pool and hot tub very nice, landscaping well done around the villa. The kitchen was beautiful, bedrooms had very comfortable mattresses and bedding. Location so ideal, undeveloped north shore meant views were natural and not cluttered with power lines and other structures as is the case in other areas of St. John. The best beaches on the north shore are all within a 5-6 min drive. The sliding glass doors of the main living area open up to million dollar views and wonderful Caribbean breezes. Quick 15 min drive to Cruz Bay for dining and shopping.

Shawna was very responsive and helpful throughout, a true pleasure to deal with and an asset to our vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house! The location was about 20 minutes from Cruz Bay and about 15 minutes down the mountain to the beaches below the house. The pictures are very representative, and Cinnamon Ridge was a nice house that our group really enjoyed.

St. John is a beautiful island that my family and I have enjoyed multiple times in the past twenty years. Cinnamon Ridge is a lovely villa with a spectacular view.

What a view from this villa. The bedrooms were fine, kitchen adequate, living area fine. The pool area was not the best. The composite deck became so hot that you could not walk on it with bare feet after the sun hit it. The icemakers did not work but this is rather normal on STJ!

The lack of screens for the sliding doors made it impossible to leave the doors open. When we first got there and opened them we had birds flying in. The doors are very hard to open but we respect that due to their ability to withstand hurricane winds.

Being there for 4 weeks we expected weekly pool cleaning and housekeeping visits which were not included. We had to pay extra for house keeping visits when we feel we should have had 4 included. The pool became green and full of leaves. We removed the leaves and kept the automatic pool cleaner maintained by emptying it daily. The only way we could get someone to come and maintain the pool when it got out of hand was to call the local villa management office. These people were great to respond.

We have been monthly renters for both January and March for the past 7 years and bi-weekly for 15 years before that. We have always had weekly house cleaning and pool maintenance.

The threat of a $500.00 fine if the owners closet was opened by cutting the zip ties was insulting. Just a simple note to not open would have been fine. We would not open any door that was locked or zip tied.

It seems like the current owner(s) is (are) not concerned with these very necessary and typical services as well as treating their guests with respect. We will not be returning to Cinnamon Ridge because of the lack of Customer Service by the owner.

Working with Shawna and WhereToStay was excellent. Friendly cooperative people. Paid attention to all of our needs. Would work with them again in an instant!
