We had an amazing time at Meads Bay Villa 1. With three kids ages 7 and under, traveling can be challenging, and finding a kid friendly locale even more so. Meads Bay 1 was perfect. The staff were so friendly and attended to all our needs, even collecting mangoes from a local stand for the kids to eat!

The villa felt homey. The kitchen wasn’t extravagant, but that was fine with us as most of our time was spent cooking and eating out on the deck. The beach was beautiful and peaceful. It’s not a busy beach, which was perfect for us! We loved waking up to the view of the beach from villa 1. The pool hit the spot! The staff were great about cleaning the villa and pool around our schedule. The kids loved walking on the beach to Blanchard’s Shack for milkshakes. Our youngest loved waking up in the morning and walking around the property to look at geckos and snails, and all the kids enjoyed spotting schools of fish when we snorkeled. Having a grill on the patio made it so easy to cook family meals, and we definitely recommend grilling some local fish from the Fisheries or the Fish Depot. It was also extremely convenient to have a large supermarket a few minutes away from the villa. If you are looking for a great family vacation, look at Meads Bay villas!

Sharon was great! She answered all my questions and was great in providing timely info on the different villas we looked at. She made travel an easy seamless process! Would enjoy working with her again!

Perfect for Honeymoon and Any Occasion

Meads Bay Beach Villas made our Honeymoon beyond anything we could have planned or expected. The Mead’s talent anticipated our every need and helped us plan each day to perfection with enough flexibility to remain relaxed and personalized to us. The Mead’s staff each provide their own unique role to make their place like more special than any place we’ve experienced. Our Villa was beautiful and pre-stocked as we had planned with them in advance. They had also taken extra steps to make it so beautiful it looked like something out of a well made film. We enjoyed massages, horseback riding on the beach, the best beach we have ever seen (we did visit other beaches on Anguilla only to return to Mead’s) with colors so real you can hold them in your hand. The water is warm and the Sun is great. Staff arranged our dining through conversations regarding our particular interests; carefully assuring we also fully enjoyed all the Island had to offer. The people of the Island are loving, friendly, and helpful. The pace of the Island slowed us so that each day felt like we were suspended in time. We had multiple showers that passed as quickly as they came. Our infinity pool was great for dipping to cool off as we also used the patio for listening to music, intimate and private times together yet staff alway at hand via a private cell phone provided by Mead’s. We had access to Texts and E-mail via DigiCell.

Somehow I were fortunate enough to come up on WhereToStay. Having researched months before the Honeymoon travel options, once I made contact with WhereToStay, everything started coming together.

Shawn started with me by getting to know my initial thoughts about what I was looking for and why. We looked at various options on a couple of Islands. As we narrowed things down to Anguilla, we started looking at privacy, beach quality, time of year, travel including how, and when, and where, and estimated costs.

Within a short period of time, Shawna helped me identify Meads Bay Beach Villas as the most likely place to meet my expectations. We narrowed it further to the specific Villa and days of stay and travel.

Like most grooms, multiple questions emerged and anxiety about the details found their way into many e-mails to Shawna who took all in stride and always welcomed my questions and responded in a way that was warm, caring, and interested. She provided me information beyond what I would even know to ask; knowing my interests and making suggestions. It was through Shawna’s commitment to our Honeymoon travel that we believe it all came together (including helping with inter-island travel, horses, massages, and other ideas).

I would recommend WhereToStay to anyone who is planning travel and specifically Shawna. We plan on returning to the Islands and will be using Shawna; knowing we have now developed a relationship with the best. She commits to the experience in a very personal way.

Perfection

Meads Bay Beachside 1, Anguilla both review

We loved the island of Anguilla and hope to return.  Meads Bay Villas will be our “go to” place.  The accommodations were spacious and beautiful.  My husband loved the deck/infinity pool area.  We liked the privacy of Unit #3.  The staff were warm, friendly and helpful.  Special thanks to Joan, Chris, Charm, Lollie and Delta for making us feel like friend/guests rather than stranger/tourists.

Excellent.  Questions always answered promptly and clearly.  Shawna kept in touch throughout the process until we arrived at Meads Bay.

Breathtaking!!

From the moment we pulled up to the villas we were taken aback at how beautiful the property was. The staff was amazing and extremely courteous. We would recommend this place to everyone and will most definitely be back!!

Andrew was extremely responsive and provided excellent feedback regarding where to stay, the island itself, and things we should do. It did not feel like he was trying to sell us but rather gave his honest opinion from his own experiences. He was a pleasure to work with!!

Anguilla vacation

We were transfixed by the beauty of the island as well as the accomodations at Meads Bay Villas. Staff was most friendly and accommodating, especially Lollie and Jim. They really know how to pamper the guests here!
Our in-house chef arrangement didn’t work, but there were enough wonderful restaurants to make up for that misunderstanding. Our favorite was Blanchards, followed closely by Tasty’s.

We ate at Malliouhana Hotel the last night. This is supposed to be the best on the island, but they got all four dinners WRONG and had to do them over. Pretty sad for a place that gets $100.00/head for dinner. We won’t return there!

We will definitely consider Meads Bay Villas for a return engagement next year. It’s unsurpassed!

We would highly recommend Meads Bay Beach Villas!  Four adults just spent a week in Villa 3, and it was fabulous. 

I made the reservations after researching online and working with Shawna at wheretostay.com and I was the hero! 

I was a little disappointed that the beach front villa was booked when I made the reservation, but Villa 3 was even better, in our opinion. It was much more private (skinny dipping anyone?), yet is very close to the beach. 

The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Delta, whom we enjoyed immensely! 

You can’t go wrong booking at Meads Bay Beach Villas!

Our first visit to Anguilla. The Meads Bay villa and location was only surpassed by the people of Anguilla. The Staff at Meads Bay especially Delta could not have been more pleasant, helpful and genuine. They really wanted us to have a great stay. The villas are beautiful, like new and on a great section of uncrowded beach. The cleanliness is unbelievable. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance. The food on this island is incredible. We would go back again.

We came to Anguilla for Moonsplash. I found this place from a friend.

The unit was like new with our own pool right off the unit. It had the most awesome beach at Meads Bay. There was even coffee shop for snacks.

The people who ran it were very helpful. You should rent a car when you are on the island, but there is also a full service restaurant right next door.

We needed a two-bedroom this time, but I might come back with my husband and just rent a one-bedroom, which they also have.

We just returned from a nine-day trip to Meads Bay Villas on Anguilla. My family and I have rented many different villas on many different islands, and are happy to report that Meads Bay Villas are our absolute favorite!

Delta Hughes, the property manager, was the nicest and most attentive you could ever hope for. Traveling with a four-year-old and two teenagers is no easy situation, but with Delta’s help, we all had a great time!

Meads Bay Villa Resort is the best experience on the island of Anguilla. We stayed in one of four exquisite villas right on the beach.  The beautifully appointed interiors with a spectacular view made our stay the best in the Caribbean!

At Meads Bay, you are within walking distance (on the beach) to a number of wonderful restaurants. Or, if you prefer, a gourmet meal can be prepared right in your own villa! 

This resort is very private, yet anything you need is right at your finger tips!  You must experience this paradise!

This was all you want, with nothing you don’t. 

It was right on the beach, the rooms had crisp, clean interiors, and the staff was very friendly and professional. Plus, it ws in a great location. 

We will stay here for years to come.

Wonderful spot with great service and nice people

The villa was great. The only drawback was that the A/C in the living room was not working, and it was not inexpensive. Otherwise, we loved Meads Bay, its 5 stars.

Working with WhereToStay was easy and perfect. All went well. I would not recommend Fun Time Charters, however. The ferry is not much different and a lot less expensive.
