Know Before You Go...®

Oceana Villa only has two-bedrooms, but with over 5,000 square feet there is plenty of room to spread out. The outdoor furnishings on the upstairs balcony are super comfy and perfect for soaking in the views of Crocus Bay, Sandy Island, and Prickly Pear Cays. The true gem of this house is the open-air outdoor showers. You can shower while watching the ocean waves below or take one at night with the stars above. This is island living at its best.

Privacy, tranquility!

Oceana Villa offers tranquility and casually elegant tropical living. This bright and airy villa provides sweeping ocean vistas from one of the highest points on Anguilla, and overlooks picturesque Crocus Bay.

Oceana Villa’s terrace and balcony has a unique view of world famous Little Bay, Sandy Island, and Flat Cap peninsula, which shelters Crocus Harbor. The outdoor terrace borders a 12’ x 30’ infinity edge pool, and covered dining sits nearby. There’s also a grill for barbecuing, several loungers, and a sunny dining nook. On the balcony, guests can recline on a long sectional and take in the stunning view of the sea. An outdoor shower sits around the corner for post-swim rinses.

With two levels on nearly one acre of land, Oceana’s design allows for views of the ocean and lush green valleys from almost every room. The interior and exterior living spaces total over 5,000 square feet. The main level features a spacious living room with tropical furnishings and an entertainment center. The fully-equipped kitchen features granite countertops, Viking appliances, and a separate dining area. There’s also an air-conditioned king suite and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in stone shower and open-air outdoor shower. The upper level includes another air-conditioned king suite, furnished with a four-poster bed and both an indoor and al fresco shower. The bedroom opens out to a scenic private balcony and pergola that overlooks Crocus beach. The two-story floor plan also includes a mezzanine with a queen sofa sleeper.

The villa’s central location is ideally situated between the West End and Shoal Bay East’s high-end resorts and restaurants. Housekeeping visits six days a week, and there’s a gardener and pool maintenance.

Excellent Villa

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

Oceana Villa has an open layout and is very comfortable all around. There were only two of us, so we used the master bedroom. It was very roomy and had a comfortable bed with a nice balcony overlooking Crocus Bay. We loved the indoor and outdoor showers, and the unique sinks are a pretty cool touch. Both bedrooms have A/C units and if you leave the doors open for a bit the house is comfortable on hot days. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat. Sheelah is the housekeeper, and I can’t stress enough how clean she keeps this place. She was also very helpful for local information. We loved Sheelah! We were in Anguilla for two weeks and stayed at three villas to experience different sections of the island. This was the cleanest villa and our favorite of the three. All were comparable in price, and all had pools. Oceana’s pool is heated, which helps if you vacation in December or January. The pool faces Crocus Bay (as it should), and we soon realized that in relation to the sun’s January angle and being lower in the sky, the house blocked most of the sun coming to the deck and pool. We moved towards one side of the deck to really get the full sun. We did have some partly cloudy days, but even when the sun was strong, it didn’t hit the entire pool or deck.
We would return because of the villa’s beauty, cleanliness, amenities, and our friend Sheelah.

We worked with Shawna mainly, but also received emails from Sharon with finalized plans. The communications were great, and they were very quick to respond to any of our emails. I would definitely use WhereToStay again to help plan out future trips.

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

We have traveled the Caribbean and rented villas. However, Oceana beyond surpassed any villa we have rented. First…the personal touches that are evident in every aspect of the home. From light fixtures, to paintings and unique ceiling fans. This home was built with LOVE and it shows. The villa is ideal for a family or two couples. The kitchen was one of the best stocked I have experienced, all beach items were there…including a wagon:) Both bedrooms have A/C and we slept fabulous. Each has an outdoor shower—-USE it!!! The views are exactly as shown and they are breathtaking. You do need a car as the villa is located above Crocus Bay and YOU want to explore this island. Sheila was our on-sight house keeper and she knew everything about the island and was always one step ahead of us! I look forward to my return to this wonderful oasis in paradise.

I worked with Shawna and the process was seamless. We communicated via email and it was one of the best companies I have worked with for vacation travel. I look forward to our next partnership.

Love at first sight

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

We fell in love with Anguilla as soon as we got off Funtime Ferry. The people are all so friendly. We have been visiting St. Martin for the past 6 years and decided to visit Anguilla - now it’s my favorite island. Oceana was the perfect place to stay, because it’s so peaceful and quiet. The housekeeper, Shelia, was so helpful with information about the island, and she is a very trustworthy lady. I accidentally left out some jewelry, our iPad, and Fitbit, and nothing was moved. From then on, I didn’t bother putting them up. I left everything out in the open the whole time we were there.

The villa is so beautiful, and the view was amazing. I cannot wait to go back!

Shawna was the easiest person I have ever worked with. She was on top of it at all times. Everything was booked with a few emails. I usually have to call the agency with a few questions or information, but not with Shawna. She sent recommendations and booked all my transfers, including the rental car. We will definitely book through WhereToStay again!

Perfect Vacation

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

The villa is spacious and provides plenty of privacy if more than one party are staying there. The decor is perfect and tasteful. The patio and pool overlooking the ocean was our favorite part. It was so nice and relaxing to have our morning coffee out there. The pool was heated nicely, allowing for evening swims. There was plenty of patio space, so you can also see the beautiful mountains of St Maarten to the south. At night, it was perfectly silent except for the sounds of nature. This was exactly what we were looking for. All these things made for a very restful and relaxing vacation. We never felt unsafe, and the locals were extremely friendly and helpful. The private ferry to the island is highly recommended- it takes much less time and is very scenic.
Shawna and her team set everything up for us, so we literally just had to show up. WhereToStay was on the ball and sent constant reminder emails to us.

Beautiful Caribbean luxury and privacy

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

My husband and I stayed at Oceana Villa for our honeymoon after getting married in Nevis just prior to our arrival. Once you step foot in the villa, it is obvious what you are in for: stunning views to accompany your relaxing and luxurious vacation. The view of Crocus Bay out the huge wall of sliding doors speaks for itself, the only word to describe it is… perfect. The home is very thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Everyone seemed to love the light fixtures, which I agree deserve a mention of their own! We are big cooks, and even on vacation enjoy preparing meals for ourselves. We found this to be VERY pleasant in the well appointed kitchen. ALL Viking appliances! And sharp knives! All of the bells and whistles, in a dream kitchen! The refrigerator broke the day we arrived and I kid you not, they delivered a replacement the very same day. That is a level of luxury I did not know existed. Though there is only air-conditioning in the bedrooms, it did not bother us at all and the home during the day was very comfortable. As far as the island goes, we were the first guests at the villa since Hurricane Irma. Though the island was clearly damaged, there is absolutely NO reason to not come here now. In fact, there is an ignited spirit on the island that is truly special. Live music, lovely food, wonderful people. We can’t wait to return when everything is open and can’t believe a vacation can get any better.

I was a bit hesitant at first to book through WhereToStay.com, as I usually book rental homes via VRBO, and I understand many of the properties are listed on both. However, after doing my research, not only was the price comparable, but the personalized service with Shawna was way more than I expected. She was very prompt and helpful, even keeping me informed when the hurricane hit. Since we almost always book rental homes when we travel instead of hotels, I will definitely consider using WhereToStay.com again when traveling in the Caribbean.

A Very Special Place

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

My husband and I have visited many islands in the Caribbean—Anguilla is spectacular! What made it so special was Oceana Villa. This home has been put together with lots of love, detail and pure understanding of what time on the island should be about! If you love privacy, good location, comfort, and a beautiful resort feel, then you need to stay here! Our favorite thing about this home was the number of spaces you have to enjoy - two great balconies for morning coffees and evening wine at sunset, the entire pool deck with chic Frontage furniture and the beautiful pool, and the inside/outside showers after a day at the beach! The villa has coolers, beach chairs, top of the line dishwasher, and silverware, and every light fixture was fabulous. The beaches were an easy drive away and ALL staff were incredible people who were there for anything we needed. I wish we could have met the owners, as they truly must be special people given this special place they have built! Thanks for sharing it with us! Cheers—Charlotte, North Carolina

Our service from WhereToStay could not have been better! Sharon is awesome. She’s super informative, timely and did not have a complaint when I needed to change something.
She’s a keeper!

Island Paradise

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

My wife and I celebrated her 50th on this wonderful island. We enjoy renting villas when away, and Oceana certainly was all that it was reported to be. The house was beautiful and offered amazing views. Given it’s proximity, the trade winds were very refreshing and added to our outdoor enjoyment.

The pool could have been a little warmer, but it didn’t detract from jumping in to cool off after hours in the sun.

The villa was very private and offered quiet relaxation, but was close to many destinations that we wanted to visit. Traveling around the island from the villa was easy to navigate (even on the ‘wrong’ side of the road.)

Sheila did a wonderful job keeping the house spotless and fresh and was a joy to meet. She also offered many great suggestions to enjoy the island.

We will certainly be back!

Our experience with WhereToStay was excellent. The process was very easy, as described on the website. Sharon offered insights to make our planning easier, and also had a great deal of knowledge of the island to provide information for places to visit and eat.

Great honeymoon experience

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

Beautiful secluded location with easy access to area beaches and restaurants. Great snorkeling in Anguilla at Little Bay, Shoal Bay, and Limestone. Favorite restaurants included Veya, Jacala, and Mango. One of our friends surprised us with an in villa chef, Tyrone, one night as a gift, and that was incredible.

Very helpful in making for an easy trip, especially as we had plenty of wedding planning to finish up. That also meant we didn’t have as much time to plan so it was great that Sharon helped set up the details for much of the trip logistics.

great stay at Oceana Villa

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

My wife and son and I had a great 7 day stay at Oceana Villa. Its exactly as it looks and described on Where to Stay website. Great interior design and layout and incredible views of Crocus Bay and the Atlantic ocean. Very well equipped with everything in terms of kitchen supplies, electronics, wifi, etc you could need. Great outdoor furniture and beach towels. The villa was incredibly clean and well maintained, a tribute to Sheila, the delightful and hardworking housekeeper, and the offsite property manager. The two master suites are on separate floors, with privacy ideal for two couples. If you like soft mattresses, the beds are great. Our only complaint was the absence of drapes for the upstairs MBR patio doors/windows but we woke to a beautiful view and plenty of sunshine every morning. would definitely return.

Shawna was an absolute pleasure to work with and her personal experience with Anguilla and our selection of Villas was invaluable. All of her recommendations, for the villa, restaurants, site seeing activities, etc were spot on and very much appreciated. We had lots of questions prior to our trip which she always answered quickly and with excellent information. Thank you Shawna. We will definitely use you and WheretoStay on our next trip to Anguilla or any other island in the caribbean.

Oceana Villa, Anguilla villa review

The villa was even more beautiful in person than the pictures.
The heated pool was a huge plus and an important feature for folks looking to relax and not get out too often. The villa oven broke and we understood that the repair would be after we left, but when the gas ran out for the grill and we asked that it be filled before evening, it was not, so we had to pitch some foods that were not microwavable because we were left with no way to cook. This was quite disappointing since everything else was so nice.

Working with Shawna was easy peasy and convenient.
