Fathom’s End is a three-story, beachfront villa with spectacular ocean views and a convenient location. Stunning sunsets, nearby nightlife, and a family-friendly design make this villa ideal for any Barbados vacation.
A quaint garden gate leads down to beautiful Paynes Bay Beach. The beach is home to excellent snorkeling, a picturesque stretch of sand, and water sports rentals. Loungers and an umbrella sit steps away from the villa’s private plunge pool and gazebo, where guests can relax in the sun or shade. French doors open to the indoor living and dining room, which offers comfortable seating and a wet bar with a mini-fridge. The villa’s cook prepares meals in the modern kitchen, and the housekeeper keeps things tidy. A set of stairs leads up to the first floor’s queen suite and twin suite, both of which have an ensuite bathroom and a balcony. Another set of stairs leads up to the top floor’s master suite, which includes a king bed, a dressing area, an ensuite bathroom, and a private balcony.
Fathom’s End enjoys proximity to several restaurants, and shopping and dining in Holetown are a few minutes away. Golfing at Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland are within a short drive, and there’s no shortage of water sports rentals up and down the coast.

Fabulous Fathom's End!!
Fathom's End - Mahogany Bay, Barbados both review
An absolutely top notch villa that exceeded our high expectations. The location at the southern end of Paynes Bay is perfect. In the morning, you can walk through your beautiful little garden, open the gate, and within 6 steps you are right on the beach. Take a leisurely stroll right up to Sandy Lane Hotel and have an early dip in the ocean. Fantastic.
The villa itself is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. The top floor is one big suite with a four poster bed. It has wonderful sea views, as do both the other bedrooms below. All have an outdoor area with very comfortable chairs. You can have your own sundowners here, if you don’t feel like strolling 5 minutes along the beach to Daphne’s for happy hour.
There are three members of staff: a cook/housekeeper, gardener and night security. They are all very friendly and you certainly feel well looked after. Judy, the cook, will make some great Caribbean dishes, if you fancy a night in, or a nice lunch.
I find it very hard to find fault with Fathom’s End. We had 11 fantastic nights there and I would love to return. I would just add one tip. Take every precaution to repel mosquitos - I’m not sure if it was because of the humidity, but they really were a pest!
I was very happy working with Andrew and WhereToStay.com.
Everything went like clockwork and I would certainly use WhereToStay again, and would recommend it to anyone.
