Fustic House is a legendary vacation destination. The villa was built in the 18th century, then transformed by the famous theatrical designer Oliver Messel in the 1970s. Fustic House offers the most exotic gardens on Barbados which were featured in the Daily Telegraph in January 2019. This is the perfect spot for a wedding, family reunion, or any vacation with a large group. Many wonderful little hideaway’s to enjoy set in 10 acres of beautiful tropical gardens.

Fustic House is nestled into an ridgefront mahogany grove with unforgettable ocean views. Built in the early 18th century, this coral stone estate exudes traditional charm.
Fustic House’s unique lagoon-shaped pool is set into a natural cliffside and fed by ionised water. Stone stairs lead down into the ethereal waters, and tropical foliage creates a natural canopy overhead. At night, lights set within the pool glow through the water. Although the pool feels like a private oasis, it’s only a few steps from the home’s common areas. The expansive sundeck feels like a giant tree house, elevated amongst lush gardens and furnished with loungers and umbrellas. The koi-filled lotus lake provides a peaceful haven to stroll or relax, and mahogany trees shade al fresco dining sets throughout the property. Guests can play a game of boules in the gardens, drink cocktails on the North Lawn, and celebrate special occasions on the expansive stone patio.
Indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly flow together at Fustic House. Seven suites are spread across four separate wings, and there’s over 13,000 square feet of living space. The Great House’s upper level holds the library and parlor. The main level holds the dining room and a gourmet kitchen. The Master Suite and the Wisteria Suite are both on the upper level, and each has a king bed, access to the balcony, and a private bathroom. The ensuite Master Bath has a tub and shower, while the Wisteria Suite has an adjacent bathroom with a shower. In the Messel Wing, both suites have an ensuite bathroom with a shower and two twin beds that can be made up as kings.
Winding pathways lead to the Plantation Wing and the Pavilion. The Plantation Wing holds two king suites, and each has an ensuite bathroom with an outdoor shower and a tub. This wing also has an open foyer and a gym with free weights, yoga and pilates equipment, a children’s play area, table tennis, volleyball/badminton, a trampoline, a croquet field, a seesaw, and a swing. The Pavilion offers a kitchenette, a media room, and a king suite with an adjacent bathroom and an outdoor shower. The media room has a full home theater system, a 60-inch HD Plasma TV, and speakers. High speed, wireless internet runs throughout the property, and Bose sound systems are in each suite.
Fustic House offers both a cook and a private chef, so guests never have to worry about cooking. A laundress, three housekeepers, a butler, three gardeners, and 24-hour security round out the staff. The villa is a five-minute walk from the owner’s beach house in Half Moon Fort Fishing Village, which has a white sand beach with fantastic swimming and snorkeling. The Fish Pot restaurant, bar, beach facilities and floating jetty are a short drive away.
