Each bedroom can be made up with a king bed, but there are two twin suites that can be left with two single beds for children. This fully gated development borders Paynes Bay Beach, so snorkeling, beachcombing, and sunbathing are steps away. The villa’s extended terrace and private plunge pool also offers ample space to enjoy al fresco dining, swimming, and lounging. A wrought-iron barrier frames the exquisite Caribbean sunsets and creates an art-deco inspired backdrop for the ocean view. Beautifully manicured gardens and a freeform swimming pool await below, and an elevator leads down to Paynes Bay, paddle boards, and kayaks.
La Mirage is fully air conditioned and fully equipped with all the comforts of home. The bedrooms and lounge offer spacious, elegant design, TVs, and DVD players. The kitchen offers standard appliances, ample countertops, and indoor dining. Each of La Mirage’s suites has an ensuite bathroom and the option for a king bed. The two master suites enjoy king beds and private terraces. The two twin suites can be converted into king suites or left with two twin beds for children.

was an amazing week at LaMirage Villa, our chef (Baz) fixed food to perfection. Our group will be talking about this trip for the rest of our lives. I don’t think this vacation will ever be topped, wonderful destination.

A True Paradise--Upscale, Tranquil & Relaxing --You will feel like Royalty!!
La Mirage - Penthouse at Old Trees, Barbados villa review
This was one of the best vacations our family has ever taken. We had 4 adults and 5 children ranging in age from 8 to 13 and everyone immensely enjoyed every minute. La Mirage Penthouse truly makes you feel like you are Royalty!! The staff Angela, Sharon and Betty were amazing—they took great care of us cooking, cleaning and catering to all our needs—Angela made the best meals and everyone loved it which is saying a lot for 9 people!!! The accommodations were upscale yet comfortable and the pictures that Where to Stay post are very accurate…if anything I think the rooms are actually larger than they look. The best part of the entire penthouse is the outside terrace—its huge, comfortable and private pool is great. One of my favorite parts of the terrace was the sound of the waves hitting the beach at night—it is the most tranquil sound. The location of this Penthouse Condo on Paynes Bay is also another key feature, the beach is stunning—wide beach area and soft sand and there is a beach butler who rakes the sand everyone morning and puts out your chairs. The beach butler will arrange any water sport activity you may want—one thing to be aware of is that there are vendors on the beach who approach you and ask if you want to rent a boat or jet ski etc. If you like that sort of thing its fine but if you feel it can be annoying just tell them no right away so they don’t continue to bother you. The water is crystal clear and gorgeous the kids snorkeled right at our beach and even saw 2 turtles while we were there. Kids loved the kayaks and paddle boards that were provided free of charge by condo. If you are looking for a true paradise vacation where you can be pampered this is the place!!
Where to Stay was instrumental in helping me select these accommodations. I am very particular and ask lots of questions and Andrew at Where to Stay was so helpful and patient. He gave me all the guidance I needed to make the right choice and La Mirage certainly was!! I also like the layout of WTS website, I found the map with pin points of where things were located in comparison to your location very helpful The pictures they provided were extremely accurate. I would recommend that the beach butler be added to the features of accomodations as this was a great perk. WTS provided insight and support from getting there and back with transfers and gave a great description of the different beach areas in Barbados which is why we picked Paynes Bay!!! Thanks again Andrew for making our trip seamless
