Located on Gibbes Beach, Waverly House offers a traditional Barbados atmosphere with all the amenities of home. With direct beach access, a pool, and internet access, there’s something for everyone. There’s also satellite and cable TV, as well as golf, tennis, and water sports nearby.
On Gibbs Beach!
Waverly House is a warm, beachfront villa on Gibbes Beach in St. Peter. This home is built with coral stone in a traditional Barbadian style, and is bordered by lush, manicured gardens.
A short, garden path leads to a small gate, which rests under a verdant, leafy archway. Gibbes Beach is just beyond the gate, and the archway perfectly frames the sea. For more private swimming, Waverly has its own plunge pool in the midst of a coral stone deck. Loungers surround the pool, and the veranda is adjacent. Under the veranda, there’s a cozy nook for cards, cocktails, or coffee, and a dining table for six. A series of arched French doors lead into the living room, which has a 32” flatscreen TV and plush seating. All three air-conditioned bedrooms are upstairs. The master suite has a king bed, a balcony, and an ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower and vanity. The second suite has a king bed and shares a bathroom with the third suite, which has two twin beds. Their shared bathroom has a tub/shower and a vanity.
Godings Bay is just up the coast and leads to the historic Speightstown is nearby. Godings is home to several restaurants, and Speightstown has shops and activities galore.

Nice!
Waverly House, Barbados villa review
We so enjoyed our stay at Waverly House. It was comfortable, private, quiet, and the beach was beautiful! The housekeeper, Kelly Ann, was very sweet and helpful. The kitchen could have been a little better equipped, but the villa was very nice overall. We would stay there again.

Waverly House, Barbados villa review
Unparalleled location: 50 steps from back door to the sand. Beach is narrow but spectacular water views, especially sunsets. Master bedroom was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Other 2 rooms were smaller and street noise was an issue. Well-stocked kitchen and lots of seating areas throughout so our family of 6 never felt crowded.
Excellent customer service. Andrew was responsive, professional and very helpful.

Waverly House, Barbados villa review
We had a lovely stay at Waverly. The property was exactly as pictured on websites. Our experience was largely impacted by the wonderful staff. Meals prepared by Hariett were scrumptious. House and laundry were kept clean by Luceen. Other staff tended to the garden, the plunge pool, and security. The street view does not entirely reflect the villa’s interior beauty. Our only advice is to have more prompt collection of garbage, refurbish the couch, and install new/stronger ceiling fans for those very hot/humid days/night. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in a beautiful setting.
Andrew was very helpful. He gave us good information and insight. He was instrumental in finding the right property for us.
