Know Before You Go...®
Gibbes Beach is one of Barbados’ nicest white sand beaches on the West Coast. Shops, groceries, and restaurants are only five minutes away if you get tired of the beach that’s right in your backyard. There’s also plenty of gorgeous space to relax around the pool and gardens.
Beachfront!
Waverly One is a colorful, tropical villa on Gibbes Beach in St. Peter. This beachfront home has a classic, coral stone design and a thick border of leafy palm trees.
A paved path leads through the gardens to a wrought iron gate. This gate opens to Gibbes Beach, one of the most tranquil bays on the island. Its crystal clear waters are perfect for a relaxing swim or snorkel. Along the path, there’s a hammock, loungers, and lanterns. On the patio, a large umbrella shades the dining area. The plunge pool lights up at night, and there’s loungers behind lush greenery. There’s more lounging space under the veranda, and a wet bar for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Inside Waverly One, there’s a spacious open-plan living and dining area with a 42” flatscreen TV with cable, a stereo, and a DVD player. A housekeeper is also there to pamper guests. Upstairs, there’s three air-conditioned bedrooms, two of which have their own balcony. The master suite has a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second suite has a queen bed, and the third suite has two twins that can be made up as a king. The second and third suite share a bathroom.
Gibbes Beach is a short drive from Mullins Beach, Speightstown, and Godings Bay. Speightstown and Godings Bay have shopping and restaurants, while Mullins Beach is one of the most popular on the island.
