This private island resort is perfect for a casual, relaxing vacation for any group of travelers. Every activity you can imagine is here, from snorkeling to fishing to kayaking. There’s a Stargazer’s Cruise, where you and your sweetheart can take an hour long cruise around the island with a bottle of champagne and stars overhead. You can island hop to Belize’s various cayes, take a lobster/conch hunt, and go on a boat ride up the Sittee River. The island even has two sweet dogs, Dewey and Tempy, to keep you company.
Private Island Resort!
Thatch Cay is a private island resort, located along the Belize Barrier Reef. The accommodations are made out of wood and conch shells from the island, and has a rustic charm unique to Belize. The friendly staff will cater to guests’ every need, and lead several excursions and activity classes.
The resort has continental breakfast at the Coco Lounge, lunch and dinner at the Grove, and snacks and drinks at the Starfish Bar. The chefs are the best of Belize, and will cater to any dietary need. The island also has a chapel, scuba shack, rod room, docks, and areas for every beach and water activity. There are no TVs, phones, or Wi-Fi in the villas, but guests are welcome to watch TV and use the phone at the Coco Lounge.
Premier Overwater Bungalow:
Each of the five bungalows are built on stilts with their own docks. They have panoramic views, which guests can take in from the hammock on their private balcony. The bungalows are air-conditioned and have either a king-sized bed or two twin beds. The ensuite bathrooms have showers, and daily housekeeping will take care of everything.
Overwater Bungalows:
The overwater bungalows have room for 2 adults, with a king-sized bed in each. The three bungalows share a large deck with views over the water and hammocks. The ensuite bathrooms have showers, and the space is air-conditioned. These bungalows are great for a family or good friends in the group of friends.
Penthouse Oceanfront Cabanas:
This property is the largest and most scenic on the island. It has a king-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, seating area, and air-conditioning. The private patio has loungers and unobstructed ocean views. Two twin beds can be added to the cabana to accommodate a family. There are two junior cabanas underneath that each sleep two people.
Premier Oceanfront Cabanas:
The four spacious cabanas each have ocean views and rooftop patios with hammocks and lounge chairs. Each cabana is air-conditioned, and can accommodate a king-sized bed or two twin beds. An ensuite bathroom, window seats, easy chairs, and dining table complete the space.
Oceanfront Cabanas:
The two Oceanfront Cabanas have ocean views and patios with lounge chairs. Inside, a king-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, and air-conditioning round out the space.
Guests can take SCUBA excursions, fishing expeditions, and even get married on Thatch Caye. The island can be rented for a corporate retreat, wedding, college reunion, or family vacation.
