Moon Kai is a great family vacation villa on a barefoot beach in Cayman Kai. The villa is designed for comfort, from the soft sand and calm water to the plush furnishings in every room. The main house has five bedrooms and a spacious common area, but you also have a little cottage with its own common area and bedroom. Rum Point's restaurants and water sports are a short walk up the beach, so you don’t have to worry about driving around every day.

A secluded beach with soft sand and calm waters rests just outside the villa. Guests can launch kayaks or take a refreshing dip in the water without leaving their backyard. There are four kayaks at the villa, and more can be rented upon request. Manicured hedges and palm trees border Moon Kai’s slice of sand, which is outfitted with a picnic table and loungers. Stairs on either side lead up to the oceanfront infinity pool, which is heated in the winter. Loungers and umbrellas surround the pool, and the poolside screened porch offers ocean views, dining for 10, and a comfortable sectional. Around the front of the house, guests can relax in the bougainvillea pergola or on the patio’s bench swings.
Sliding glass doors and 36 feet of glass French doors lead into the main house’s cozy interior. The spacious Great Room is furnished with comfortably plush seating, a dining set, and a flatscreen TV. The fully equipped kitchen sits adjacent and offers granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a breakfast bar. An interior elevator to the second-floor foyer and a wheelchair ramp to the right of the front steps allows all guests to enjoy Moon Kai. On the second floor, there is a TV loft with comfortable seating, two trundle/daybeds, and a large porch overlooking the estate. Moon Kai’s main house has five king suites with ensuite bathrooms, screened porches, and ocean views. Three bedrooms are on the upper level and two are on the lower level.
The coach house is the perfect spot for a family, grandparents, or teenagers to share. This 1,000 square foot space has its own common area, queen suite, and screened porch. In the common area, guests can lounge on the plush sectional while watching movies on the flatscreen TV. The dining area has a glass-topped table for four and two armchairs in the adjacent nook. The open kitchen is fully equipped with a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, and cookware. A four-poster bed and ensuite bathroom outfit the queen suite.
Moon Kai is within walking distance to restaurants and water sports at Rum Point Beach. Villa guests have Platinum Memberships to Silver Thatch’s luxury amenities, which include the private gym, business center, a discount card to local businesses, 10% advance booking discount for private Silver Thatch scuba and snorkel charters, and light housekeeping twice a week. Guests can have parcels, Jacques Scott Wine & Spirits, baby equipment, Apple TVs, rollaway beds, board games, groceries, and complimentary kayaks delivered to their villa.
