Know Before You Go...®
Abita Kai is a great choice for a multi-generational family vacation. With three bedrooms spread across two levels of the main house and two bedrooms in the guest cottage, there’s plenty of room for kids, grandparents, and everyone in between to spread out and have fun. Best of all, this is one of the few wheelchair-accessible villas on the island, and the owners have truly thought of everything when it comes to accessibility.
Barefoot Beach villa!
Abita Kai is a wheelchair-accessible villa on the southwestern tip of Rum Point. Cayman Kai’s shallow waters, vibrant sunsets, and white sand beaches will allure any traveler, and the villa’s wheelchair-accessible features allow everyone to enjoy the island’s beauty.
Abita Kai’s interiors, pool area, and beach are all wheelchair-accessible, and an elevator, pool lift, and beach wheelchair are available upon request. The villa’s oceanfront infinity pool and sundeck take full advantage of the ocean views, while the private dock opens up access to water sport rentals and charter pickups. A barefoot beach stretches half a mile in either direction so guests can jog, walk, or sunbathe all day. Don’t forget to rinse off in the outdoor shower before heading back inside!
A two-story screened atrium spans the width of the main house and draws ocean views into the oceanfront bedroom suite, living room, and kitchen. The gourmet kitchen opens directly to the atrium’s dining table and is outfitted with stainless steel appliances, luxury cookware, marble countertops, and twice-filtered water from the kitchen sink. The living room’s 70” HDTV is outfitted with cable programming, AppleTV, and a DVD player. There is also a formal dining room off the foyer.
Three bedrooms are in Abita Kai’s main house and two are in the guest cottage. In the main house, the oceanfront king suite opens to the lower level’s screened atrium. Upstairs, there’s a master suite with a roll-in accessible shower and cable TV as well as a queen suite with two beds. Both upstairs suites open to the screened atrium balcony. In the guest cottage, there’s a master suite with a king bed, ensuite bathroom, and private balcony. The adjacent children’s suite offers a queen bunk bed, twin bunk bed, and ensuite bathroom. The cottage also has its own living room and kitchen. Pack-n-plays and baby equipment are available as needed.
Rum Point Club’s sandy beaches, water sports, and beach bar are a short walk from Abita Kai. The Kaibo Marina’s water sports, fine dining restaurant, downstairs bar, casual restaurant, and coffee shop is minutes away.
