Approached through two remarkable entrance towers dating back to 1307, the château immediately reveals its medieval origins. Remodelled during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, it now displays the elegant symmetry of Louis XIII architecture, with handsome brick-and-stone façades, soaring slate roofs and graceful mullioned windows that fill the interiors with natural light. A flowing moat, fed by the River Lévrière, encircles the château, mirroring its striking silhouette, while the inner courtyard is framed by sculpted topiary. Beyond, sweeping lawns lead the eye towards a tranquil miroir d'eau, creating a landscape of timeless beauty.

Inside, beautifully preserved wood panelling, soaring ceilings and refined reception rooms evoke centuries of aristocratic living. Listed as a Historic Monument since 1948, Chateau Lyons la Foret has been meticulously restored, preserving its rich heritage while offering an atmosphere of understated elegance and comfort.

The château itself features beautifully proportioned living spaces, including a splendid kitchen, an elegant dining room and a grand salon with a billiard table. Four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, accommodate up to eight guests. From October to April, the château may also be rented independently for up to ten guests, when a magnificent fifth bedroom normally reserved for the owners is opened for exclusive use.

For larger gatherings, the adjoining cottage wing extends the estate's accommodation with twelve further bedrooms, all featuring private bathrooms. Highlights include a romantic master suite with an exceptionally spacious bathroom, a dormitory-style room ideal for younger guests, and an array of charming double and single bedrooms. Two elegant reception rooms, opening through French windows onto the gardens, provide an idyllic setting for family celebrations, milestone occasions and memorable events.

The estate's grounds are as captivating as the château itself.
