Today the villa is known as a gallery of design on the lake. The interior designer’s creative style, which they term ‘evergreen’, features American and Italian works from 1950’s to 2000. Guests will be living with masterpieces from Lloyd wright, Philip Johnson and Van der Rohe. Furniture includes pieces by Cassina, Vitra and Moroso, many were made in Brianza the design district between Lake Como and Milan, which can be visited with the Design Experience. Artworks include significant sculptures by Bijan Bassirith, the most important Iranian artist and a leading light at the Venice Biennale.
The main house has 9 double bedrooms and suites all flooded with sunlight, with two or three large windows overlooking the lake and gardens. Rooms are set over four floors, all accessible with a private lift. There is a staff cottage with three double rooms, hosting the resident staff, with space for guests’ staff.
