Adagio Villa, St. John villa review

We have been to St John many times over the years, and I think this is the best house we have ever rented. The kids loved the novelty of the indoor pool (plus you can swim at night without the bugs). Also, enjoying the hot tub at the end of the day was one our favorite things! The house is very well equipped with everything you would need to enjoy the week including a well-stocked kitchen, beach chairs, pool floats, beach towels, and even a beach bag. The bedrooms were very large, and each has it’s own bathroom which is great when 5 people are trying to get ready. The location is perfect!! Close to town and restaurants, and the view was amazing. Staff was very quick to respond if we had any requests. We hope to come back again to this house one day as a family!

Shawna was very easy to work with and quick to respond by email. She sent us a lot of information before we went about local restaurants and check-in information. Local representative met us at the dock and was very friendly. I would rent from WhereToStay again.

Adagio Villa, St. John villa review

We had a wonderful time at the villa. The house is beautiful and essentially rebuilt from the hurricane a few years ago. The view is spectacular of Great Cruz Bay. A few things extra to know about:
-The bedrooms have AC, the main living area with the pool does not have AC, but has plenty of large sliding doors on both sides of the house that allow for breezes to flow. We stayed in late March, so the temps weren’t that hot and the living area was perfectly comfortable.
-The refrigerator had a really nice surprise with some welcoming food: some sodas, beer, cheese, crackers, and candy.
-The grill is a nice Weber gas grill.
-The pool is “solar” heated. Not enough solar heat comes through the sun lights. The pool at least in March is cool. Not cold, but probably about 3-5 degrees colder than adults would like. Kids, of course, didn’t mind the temp of the pool.
-There are 2 sets of high end washers and dryers which is super nice. Would recommend having a laundry basket in the house as you do have to go outside to access the laundry room.
-There were 6 beach chairs available to use along with beach towels and a beach bag.
-The bedroom on the bottom floor is only accessible from the outside driveway or outside porch via a spiral staircase.
-We were furnished with lots of toilet paper, soaps, dishwashing detergent, and laundry detergent. Kitchen had salt and pepper available. No sugar though if you’re making coffee.
-There’s a futon in the 2nd bedroom that was very comfortable and about a full sized bed size.
-Few minor quibbles: The refrigerator water didn’t work (but ice dispenser was working), which was fine as we weren’t that comfortable drinking cistern water. Some of the bathroom overhead lights didn’t work. While there are about 20+ wine glasses, there were much few regular glasses/cups.
-Location is pretty nice. It’s away from the hustle of Cruz Bay, but only about 5-10 min from it by car. A Dolphin Market is just down the street. Starfish Market is another 1 minute drive towards town. National Park entrance is about 15 min drive.
We would definitely recommend staying the villa.
