Gorgeous villa with amazing views!
Mar Azul is an elegant, four-bedroom villa located on a high ridge between Maria Bluff and Blasbalg Point. This vacation rental enjoys breathtaking views and is ideal for couples.
The villa’s swimming pool rests at the edge of the sundeck amidst loungers and potted plants. There are two levels of outdoor space: the lower level pool deck and the main level balcony. Guests can dine al fresco, cook on the barbecue grill, or sunbathe on either level. Both levels are also partially shaded. Chic design and modern finishes outfit Mar Azul’s interior, from the cozy living area to the gourmet kitchen. The dining table rests between the living area and kitchen, and seats six guests beneath a unique light fixture. The gourmet kitchen features elegant cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, a range hood, and pendant lighting over a breakfast bar. Each of the bedrooms enjoys air-conditioning. The main level’s master suite and loft suite each have interior access, a king bed, and an ensuite bathroom. On the pool level, there is a family suite with two bedrooms that share a kitchenette, a washer and dryer, and a bathroom. One room has a king bed and the other has a queen bed. Both bedrooms are accessed from the exterior.
Mar Azul has an ideal location near several beaches, supermarkets, and restaurants. The villa’s private, pull-through driveway adds exclusivity and convenience for guests’ maximum comfort.

Beautiful Home
Mar Azul, St. John villa review
Kismet is a meticulously maintained villa with gorgeous views and incredible landscaping.. The local managers are extremely responsive and accommodating. The only issue we faced was lack of water pressure for the first five or six days. We had assumed that it was a systemic problem and didn’t inquire about the issue which was an error on our part. After mentioning the problem to the manager it was immediately resolved (required a filter change).
The kitchen is well stocked with spices, large double ovens and works well for cooking for a crowd. There is also an incredible outdoor grill and prep area.
There are some daunting stairs as you arrive and access to the two lower bedrooms could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
One other big plus was the connectivity to Wi-Fi throughout the villa.
Betsy proved to be very helpful with clearing up some discrepancies in the description of the various bedroom suites and was relentless in her “arrival/departure” info. As we were renting 2 houses it was a bit of an overwhelming logistical exercise requiring patience on both ends.

Mar Azul is exceptional. From the stellar view to enjoy coffee in the a.m. or a happy hour/barbecue to the attention to detail provided in the large great room ~ simply an outstanding villa. The pool and expansive multi level decks offer a relaxing setting for post beach or boating days. After dark we enjoyed both the lights from St.Thomas and the stars while enjoying after dinner drinks and coffee.
Betsy Carmichael made the rental process a breeze for our group of five. She took me seamlessly through the step by step process and seemed to anticipate my questions in providing arrival details. We have already been in touch with her about a villa rental for next spring or summer, maybe both.

Amazing
Mar Azul, St. John villa review
Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) just finished another amazing week in St. John. Mar Azul turned out to be the perfect house for us. After beach hopping each day we would relax by the pool before heading out to dinner each night. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast in the mornings. The deck was the perfect spot to watch the sunset each night. We can’t wait to come back to visit.
Our experience was great. Jean had everything setup for us including Warren G taxi service.

Wonderful home
Mar Azul, St. John villa review
We loved everything about Mar Azul. The only thing I would change is how the pool filters. It’s such a slow pump that it really doesn’t clean it very well. Other than that my family and friends and I had a great time. Would definitely go back again.
I have used where to stay for three years in a row, and will use them again for
my next trip.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Mar Azul for 2 weeks in March 2023. The house was in immaculate condition and the location and views cannot be beat. I would highly recommend this villa and look forward to our next visit!

Mar Azul is all you want it to be and so much more. There were views from every room in the house, the kitchen was upgraded with nice furnishings and mostly everything you need to stay away from home! ( I would recommend a sharp knife to make meals with, otherwise all you need!) The SUNSETS were just what I was looking for. They were perfect every single night. Stunning to say the least! The pool was awesome! We left floaties and pool toys as we knew our kids would appreciate those! There are hermit crabs and iguanas around the Villa which were fun for the kids. Perfect for two families, several couples etc. We will be back for sure!

Mar Azul was the perfect house for our group of seven. First - the house is beautifully updated. The kitchen, the bathrooms, everything. The pool was the the absolute best way to end every single. The sun set view from the house is unbelievable. And the property management team was the best. So quick to answer questions and quick to respond when we needed a new propane tank for the grill. We honestly could not have stayed at a better house for our vacation. Highly recommend!!!
Shawna and the team were absolutely fantastic! What impressed me the most is the clear and organized arrival packet that they send the week of the week of the trip. It literally has everything in it that you would need to know. Throughout the entire process, Shawna and the team always answered all my questions in a timely manner. I would highly recommend using WhereToStay.com. i will definitely be using them again!
