Casa Bougainvillea is the ideal spot for guests who love water sports and beach combing. Situated right on the water’s edge, this property lets you enjoy the waves, snorkeling, and swimming just a few steps from your back door. Chaises have been set up on the beach to make sunbathing more comfortable, and are the perfect place to have a cocktail on a hot afternoon. The covered patio and tropical gardens offer guests a number of private spots for quiet contemplation or reading, and if you’re in the mood to socialize, the kitchen and Great Room will accommodate friends and family.

Casa Bougainvillea sits by the sea on Cabrita Point, a peninsula located on the East End of St. Thomas. Breathtaking ocean views, gentle surf, and yachts sailing by set the scene for a tranquil Caribbean getaway.
This stunning villa is nestled amongst over 200 bougainvillea plants and a coral beach. An electronic security gate stands at the entrance and leads to a spectacular sculpture garden. A short path runs through the garden to the ocean’s edge and fabulous snorkeling on live reefs. On the beach level, there’s a mosaic-tiled pool, wooden lounging patio, and a birdbath. Upstairs, there’s an open-air gazebo with a gas grill.
This screened and fully air-conditioned villa is well-designed for a relaxing vacation. The spacious Great Room features cathedral ceilings, colorful artwork, casual seating, and veranda access. The dining room seats 6, and leads into the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with standard appliances and expansive countertops. There’s also a library and a WiFi. Weekly housekeeping maintains the villa.
Casa Bougainvillea is wonderful for families or friends traveling together. This private estate offers three bedrooms on the upper level and two suites on the ground level. The upper level bedroom offers a king suite with a TV, a queen suite, and a twin suite with two beds. All three suites have a private bathroom. Both suites on the pool level have a living area, ensuite bathroom, and private patio.
Several beaches are within minutes of Casa Bougainvillea, and the Ritz Carlton is 10 minutes away. There are several restaurants nearby as well.

This was a dream vacation.

Entering the beautiful gate and the house, and taking in the ocean views and the grounds, I knew this place was for us. It was a secluded home with everything we could ask for.
Nearby, there was shopping, restaurants, and the ferry to St. John for a day trip. The snorkeling right off the private beach was great. There was so much to see and it was very convenient without having to get in the car!
Having a pool right outside the front door was great and so refreshing. The house was nicely furnished and very comfortable. My favorite place was the outdoor porch off the great room. The breathtaking view of the turquoise Caribbean water with the boats passing in the distance is something that I will always remember.
We just loved everything about this villa and look forward to spending another vacation in St. Thomas.

I stayed at Casa Bougainvillea the last week of February 2010, and had a fabulous time.
The house is lovely and spacious with a wonderful view of the islands. There is a pool and the beautiful blue waters right outside your door.
Other than going to the grocery store, you don’t have to leave the property. There is a barbeque grill, five bedrooms, TVs, games, books, etc. to keep you entertained. It’s also close to restaurants and shopping. The house is clean and very well maintained with all the amenities you could want.
I have stayed here before and plan to visit St. Thomas and stay at the same place many times. I call it a piece of paradise. I highly recommend a stay here when you need to escape to a little piece of heaven! I can’t wait until my next trip!

We completely enjoyed our stay at Casa Bougainvillea. The views of the cobalt blue and emerald green bay was absolutely spectacular.
The property itself was gorgeous and meticulously maintained. The beach was steps away, and a coral reef lay just a few more steps from the shore. The snorkeling, swimming, sunning and walks were completely relaxing. I didn’t want to leave!

I’ve stayed at Casa-B six times and each time is better then the next! We usually never leave the property except to shop and occasionally go out to eat. Casa-B has everything, a huge great room with a huge balcony with multi-million dollar views, gorgous landscaping, a great pool and sandy beach with amazing snorkeling at your door. I wish I had Casa-B’s kitchen at my house, we cook and barbeque, sit on the deck with good friends and drink. We’re in our own little world, AMAZING!

We had a great time. The place is fantastic. I didn’t see another place you can walk from the road, jump in the pool or lay out on your own private beach. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a great place to go with your whole family or a group of friends.

We rented Casa Bougainvillea and its next-door neighbor, Sea Star, for a week for a big family get-together.
Casa B. offers a great commons place, privacy for four families (one with children), and a marvellous location. The location is extraordinary.
For the rest of our lives we’ll be debating what was our second-best vacation, because we will always know this was the best.

The villa was better than ideal, and exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped for a family that loves to cook, eat and drink. Also, the pool was perfect and the access to the Ritz was ideal - we took advantage of the Hobie Cat and Kayak rentals - and to see the iguanas lounging in the sun.
The Market in Red Hook was fabulous - all the fresh vegetables, fruits, meats and fish you could every want or need. They had a great wine selection, too.
Make sure you charter Captain Christopher’s boat for a day and see all the snorkeling sites in the British VIs. He and first mate Tia were excellent service providers.
Magens Bay/Beach is also recommended. We recommend renting a car so day trips are possible during the week. We even took the ferry over to St. John for a day at the beach (there were great beaches there, too).

The house was so comfortable with a great floor plan. It was stocked with many items needed on a daily basis, which was a great help.
The location was perfect for going anywhere. There was even a wonderful restaurant/bar within walking distance. The view was beautiful and the beach, although rocky, was perfect with beach chairs for sitting in the sun.
The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Our group of eight would definitely return to Casa Bougainvillea - especially after seeing the location of many other homes on the island.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Bougainvillea.
The layout of the house was great - it was right on the water. There was plenty of room to lounge around on the decks. The snorkeling was phenomenal. The color of the water was unbelieveable.
Also, the gardens were full of different kinds of flowers and there were fountains with waterfalls. It was wonderful having the pool to cool off in. We did a lot of shell picking on the beach. There were three kitchens so no one got in each other’s way. We also barbequed.
The location was great because we were close to lots of great restaurants and were close to the ferry to St. John.
This is the place to stay. We will come back at our next opportunity.

Wright family vacation

There were 11 of us, youngest 12. Three generations. The villa filled our needs with plenty of space. The pool was well used. Caroline was friendly and very helpful. Because of wind and coral and biting ants we did not use the beach much. Overall the condition and decor was a bit dated, especially for the price. Heard some complaints about condition of kitchen equipment. My husband is in fragile health and wanted to do this trip. We have rented for far less money and comparing the value I think it was overpriced. The wooden decks and sliders have seen better days. Appreciated that bedding and towels were fresh and in good supply.
My experience was fine. I had my daughter do much of the communication.

We had the vacation of a lifetime here. The house is great for a variety of people.
The pool was wonderful. Snorkeling right out of the back door was great. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was excellent.
