Villa Lama is a magical place. This home is so peaceful, with beautiful ocean views and several covered sitting areas perfect for catching up with family at the end of the day. The design blends the interior and exterior, so you can enjoy the island breezes and ocean views from any spot.
Beautiful view over the ocean and countryside!
Villa Lama is a tranquil paradise with breezy, open-air architecture. This picturesque retreat is ideal for family vacations with older children or couples traveling together, and pampers guests with daily housekeeping.
Heavy palm fronds and vibrant hibiscus surround Villa Lama, making the property feel like a luxurious tree house. There’s a cozy dining table under the poolside veranda, a pair of deck chairs for sunset viewing, and an outdoor lounge with cushioned banquettes to seat ten people. Stairways fringed with young palms and flowering trees lead from intimate lounges to livelier group spaces. The rambling layout blends abundant decks, verandas, and sitting areas. There’s also a swimming pool with views over the hillside and the sparkling sea.
The villa’s rustic, yet chic design includes whitewashed natural woods, stone stairways, classic shutters, comfy seating, and canopied beds. Inside, the living room is set up with a flatscreen TV, a suite of overstuffed couches and chairs, and shuttered French doors leading to the veranda. The large chef’s kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, a long prep counter, and access to al fresco dining. Lama’s master bedroom is in the main house, but its second and third bedrooms are in separate cottages. Each bedroom is terraced into the hillside at various levels and has a king or queen bed with its own outdoor shower.
Villa Lama has a quiet, secluded location near three of the island’s major beaches. Flamands Beach is closest, but Corossol and Anse des Cayes aren’t much further. Flamands is a favorite for picnics and surfing, and fringed with restaurants and activities.
