Les Jardins de Gustavia, St. Barts villa review

Les Jardins de Gustavia is a very modern apartment in a traditional house. The equipment is high-quality, including a state of the art SONOS system in most rooms.
The views are amazing! Having an apéro while watching the sun disappear and the evening lights appear became a favourite part of our days. The apartment is designed to provide protection from the wind. The kitchen/dining/outdoor space and master bedroom are particularly attractive. Instructions for the multipurpose oven can be found online. The pool is useful for cooling off and washing the sand off after a trip to the beach.

You really need a 4x4 to access the apartment, and there is adequate shared parking. Access on foot is a challenge, but doable given a moderate degree of fitness and mobility. I am over 70 and my wife is 69, and we were able to handle it. We entertained less fit visitors one evening, and I needed to help them get into the car. It’s a truly spectacular view, and well worth the effort. We have booked a stay again for next year.
Shawna is amazing. She is extremely helpful and goes the extra mile in sorting out suitable accommodation. When you visit St Barths, your luggage doesn’t always arrive on the same plane as you. The concierge was particularly helpful this year returning to the airport, collecting our luggage for us, and carrying it up two flights of stairs to our bedroom.
