Le Manoir de Lorient is tucked in a quiet neighborhood steps from Lorient Beach. With six European king suites and a children’s suite, this villa is ideal for families and couples alike.
A massive ipe wood sundeck sits in the center of Le Manoir de Lorient’s exterior surrounded by manicured lawns, tropical flowers, and fruit-bearing trees. The 8 x 20 meter pool with a multicolor lighting system stretches across the deck, and loungers and benches rest around the sides. Manicured palm trees hold up a tasseled hammock. Wooden walkways connect the property’s seven buildings to the sundeck and pool. There are also outdoor speakers, surround sound, and a half bath.
Le Manoir’s main house is an 18th-century French manor house that was shipped piece by piece from Normandy, France. This loft-like structure holds the kitchen, dining room, and living area. The most recent designer removed the upper floor and front wall of the house to reveal the high, timbered ceiling. Soft grey tones and mixed wood furnishings create a sense of tranquility, and the open floor plan mirrors the exterior’s expansiveness. The living room features a flatscreen TV and media library, while the sleek kitchen offers stainless steel appliances and luxurious cookware.
There are seven bedrooms total, six of which hold European king beds. Five of the European king suites have exclusive access from the exterior, flatscreens with Apple TV, and ensuite bathrooms. The other suite is a children’s room with four twin beds. This suite also has exterior access only and a flatscreen with Apple TV. The children’s suite bathroom is shared with one of the European king suites. Two of the ensuite bathrooms have a soaking tub, outdoor shower, and indoor shower.
Le Manoir de Lorient is within a short walk or drive of the beach, bakery, and restaurants of Lorient. A gardener, poolman, and housekeeper maintain the villa.
