La Mer is a hilltop villa in Cap Estate, St. Lucia’s premier residential neighborhood. A top-notch staff maintains the property, and the ocean views are framed by a manicured hillside.
La Mer expresses attention to detail, from the handcrafted front door to the sleek lines throughout the interior and exterior. Upon entry, guests are greeted by views of the pool, hillside, and Caribbean Sea. The pool faces the ocean and sits amongst loungers and al fresco dining. There are loungers with and without umbrellas, so guests can sunbathe or snooze in the shade. From the main deck, guests can go downstairs to the poolside shower room or go upstairs to the lounging balcony and dining room. La Mer’s sleek architecture and floor-to-ceiling glass eliminates the boundaries between interior and exterior. The living room is a few steps from the pool and has a flatscreen TV. Steps lead up to the dining room and kitchen, which sit under a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, and the dining table seats 6.
There are two bedrooms in the main house, and both are ensuite. The master suite has a king bed, balcony access, and a recumbent bike. The second suite can convert from two twins into one king and has exterior access. The third bedroom, Coconut Cottage, is detached from the main house. It has a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, a desk, and a mini fridge. There is a housekeeper who comes six days a week from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. She can also cook. The gardener comes once a week, and pool maintenance comes by twice a week.
Cap Estate is home to restaurants, two spas, and St. Lucia Golf Club. Several beaches are within a few minutes’ drive, including Pigeon Island and Plantation Beach.
