La Petite Auberge des Iles specializes in French, Creole, and international cuisine with indoor and outdoor seating at the marina. It is located in the Marina Royale in Marigot where expensive sailboats and motor yachts sit at its doorstep.

It is a very cozy, small restaurant with excellent food at very moderate prices. They serve mussels, lobster, seafood, meat, and salads. An extensive, reasonably priced wine list is also available.

They are open for lunch and dinner, and closed Sundays.

This charming bistro serves tarts, fresh crêpes, hearty salads, pizza, and hot or cold sandwiches on fresh bread. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. 120 Old St., Philipsburg.

It's a little out of the way, but worth a stop. It opens at 11 am, and they only serve lunch. There's no phone, and they don't accept credit cards.

GREAT FOOD! Cute intimate atmosphere. Very clean and updated. Located on the pier at Oyster Bay. I had the bisque -- Wonderful! I paired that with the Fried Shrimp appetizer. It had several dipping sauces. Pretty good. The other 3 in my party had different fish dishes. All were great. I would very much recommend this place especially if you're staying at the Westin Dawn Beach because it's within walking distance and delicious!


Bistro Nu (Caribbean) - Grand Case (French side), St. Martin

This cafe offers simple food at affordable prices. This prix-fixe menu includes snails, soup, fish, and coq au vin, among other items.

Parking may be a challenge, as the restaurant is located in an alley. Reservations are strongly suggested. Also, the restaurant is open only for dinner, and closed on weekends.

This open-air harborfront restaurant in Philipsburg balances a relaxed atmosphere, reasonable prices, and quality food with a just-right, flavorful bite.

All the beef served is Black Angus, and some people say the burgers and steaks are the best on the island. If you're seeking something spicy, try the black-bean soup or Jamaica jerk chicken wrap.

Happy-hour specials are offered Mondays and Tuesdays. Also, the Friday-night lobster specials are very popular. The restaurant is between Bobby's Marina and the start of Front Street at the marina on Great Bay.

For over thirty years Joel and Sonya have been entertaining diners in their colorful Créole cottage on Front Street in Philipsburg. Stroll down Philipsburg's new boardwalk to the center of town and cross over to Front Street, newly-refurbished with cast iron lamp posts, brick sidewalks, and hundreds of palm trees. It's a short walk and it's easy to follow the odor of garlic browning from our kitchen or the sounds of Edith Piaf wafting from our dining room.

They also have a Friday Cabaret Dinner Show.

I have been to St. Martin twice in the last year and they have so many wonderful restaurants but this was my favorite and my favorite cuisine is not Italian. It is in Cupecoy at the Atlantis Casino. We went there the 1st day of our stay in St. Martin. We loved it so much we went back the last day. There were 8 adults in our group and all of us voted it as our favorite restaurant of the trip. It was very reasonably priced with large portions. My sister and I split a salad and entry and we could not even finish it, we were so full. But, it did not stop us from getting coconut ice cream, which was to die for! It was sooooo good! I highly recommend this wonderful place.

This small restaurant is located in Marigot, and is opposite the stadium, near the Marrakech. They specialize in Asian and Antillean cuisine.

Decor is charming, and the food is nicely presented. They serve fresh spring rolls, shrimp beignets, duck, sauteed crab, and shrimp, among other specialties.

Consider coming here for lunch, as it is sometimes closed for dinner without notice.

French style food on the West end of Marigot. They offer a fine dinner menu, with specialty items like cream of mussels and asparagus soup with tarragon, black bean soup with sour cream and red onions, or sweet potato vichyssoise with curry chicken empanadas.

Try to get a table by the water

Mario's is easy to find. The bright blue drawbridge over the canal is hard to miss, but there is even a neon sign there that says "The Bridge".

St. Martin is known as the “Gastronomic Captial of the Caribbean” and you’ll understand after an evening at Temptation. Celebrity Chef Dino Jagtani is a Culinary Institute of America graduate. At Temptation he focuses on Nouveau Caribbean cooking. For starters, try the Lump Crab Cake with "Joe’s Stone Crab House" famous mustard sauce, and bacon-celery root salad or the Butternut Squash Bisque. It’s a velvety soup with hazelnut oil and cinnamon-orange foam. The "Reef and Beef" with garlic sautéed lobster tail and hoisin-braised beef short ribs is exquisite. And if you have room for dessert, the Crème Brulee Sampler with chocolate, lemongrass, vanilla, and passionfruit will satisfy that sweet tooth. Temptation was recently awarded “Restaurant of the Year” by GaultMillau Guide and named as one of the top 10 new restaurants in the Carribean by Bon Appeitit magazine. This hot spot is conveniently located in the Gourmet Village at the Atlantis World Casino, just past the Mullet Bay golf course.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere outweighs the food, though both coconut shrimp and lobster that you can choose yourself are decent specialties.

Open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Turtle Pier has a notable lobster night, all-you-can-eat Sunday rib dinners, dinner-cruise specials, and live music several nights a week.
