Amalia is a gorgeous villa for a luxurious St. Martin vacation. I love how its architecture frames the views and creates open spaces for making memories. The bedrooms are all king suites, so you and your friends can relax comfortably. The outdoor amenities just don’t quit, with a bar, 40-foot long pool, super elegant veranda, pool table, ping pong and tons of lounging nooks. Plus, there’s a full staff to dote on you!
Amazing views over Guana Bay!
Amalia is perched at the top of the Guana Bay peninsula, with gorgeous beach and ocean views. The villa enjoys cool breezes, sophisticated design, gorgeous fixtures, and spacious rooms perfect for a couples getaway.
Guana Bay offers privacy from busy Philipsburg, and is a favorite spot for kitesurfing, surfing, and snorkeling. Amalia has a 40-foot long heated saltwater lap pool with a wading area, seating, and a rock wall, as well as several loungers and al fresco dining. Under the gazebo, there’s a BBQ grill, al fresco dining, and an outdoor bar with fridges, a full sink, and lighting. For the most elegant al fresco experience, go to the veranda around the corner from the pool deck. Exposed wooden ceilings, sleek wood floors, and ceiling fans border the formal dining table and plush sectional; and the veranda faces a pastel ocean view framed by regal pillars. There’s also pool accessories and ping pong for days in the sun, as well as a gym and spa.
Tall sliding glass doors lead into the common area, which is designed with vaulted ceilings and highly polished marble floors. The living room features a flatscreen SmartTV, plush armchairs, and an elegant pool table. A modern, curved staircase leads down to the lower level living area, which has oversized sectionals, a flatscreen SmartTV, and access to the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen has sleek Wolf appliances, an elongated breakfast bar, a reclaimed wood dining table, and access to the lounging deck. There’s also in-house laundry facilities, Sonos, WiFi, central air-conditioning, and a security gate with remote access.
All six bedrooms are luxuriously appointed, with individual air-conditioning, an ensuite bathroom, and a 50-inch SmartTV. There are five king suites in the main house, and two are master suites. The first master suite has a massive bathtub, a walk-in rain shower, and a study/lounge area. The second master suite has wheelchair access and a walk-in rain shower. These suites each open to lounging balconies. The studio suite has a queen bed, a full kitchen, and access to the veranda. Amalia is fully staffed with an onsite cook, security, housekeeping, and a butler. Most of the bedrooms have automatic roll-down mosquito screens.
Amalia is just five minutes from the beach. Guana Bay is a largely residential area, so guests can expect relative privacy and tranquility.

The Most AMAZING Vacation!!
Amalia, St. Martin villa review
I hardly even know where to start with this review. From the planning process to the execution, everything was impeccable. First, the house… This house is incredible! There wasn’t a bad room in the house, nor a bad view out of any window or doorway. The finishings are amazing, the layout of the house is perfect, and there was enough space for everyone to feel right at home. The outdoor amenities were also 5 stars, with an amazing outdoor bar area by the pool. The yard was also gorgeous with beautiful green grass, and the pathway down to the beach was a fun adventure.
Next, let’s talk about the staff. If I could give them ten stars, I absolutely would. They were the most gracious, accommodating, kindhearted people and they 100% made our stay worth every single penny. Chef V was amazing, the food was better than I have had at most restaurants. To the point where we hardly ate a single meal outside of the house! Tamisha, (AKA Natasha ????) was absolutely incredible to work with. She made sure we had everything we asked for, plus more. The house was kept incredibly clean the entire stay; truly felt like more of a hotel than a villa. 10 stars all around!!
This was my first trip booked through wheretostay.com and I honestly can’t say enough amazing things. Betsy and Lori were truly incredible and really helped make our trip everything that it was. We have a large group of friends that travels together every other year, and everyone agreed that we would definitely be using wheretostay for our next trip!

Breathtaking
Amalia, St. Martin villa review
Villa Amalia and everything about it was absolutely perfect. The house is stunning- modern, clean, spacious; the gorgeous view of the ocean is inescapable as almost every room/window on the property overlooks it; the staff is super kind and welcoming, accommodating, and eager to please. We were a family of 11 staying at Amalia and it was a trip we will never forget.
Andrew was extremely helpful. He was very responsive every step of the way. Thanks to him we were able to experience the most perfect family getaway.

Amalia, St. Martin villa review
Betsy, at WhereToStay, did a great job of lining up a wonderful trip that had many moving parts. Our family, 6 adults and 4 little ones, loved the house, pool was perfect for kids, and the staff made it feel like home. They were gracious, amazing with the kids and accommodating to our many food requests. We already miss them and hope to return someday. Thanks to all that helped make this happen. Our adult kids and grands have a high bar for vacations now!
WhereToStay handled so many items for us and maybe too many. Not sure how they do all they do and with the Covid requirements, it’s a lot. Betsy was a trooper through it all and I relied on her for guidance many, many times.
