Amethyst is one of the most gorgeous villas on St. Martin, both inside and out. It has absolutely gorgeous views of the ocean from its cliffside perch, and is decorated with ultra-modern furnishings. It has five-star amenities, sleek design, and an open floor plan. Plus, there’s great snorkeling just a few feet away in David’s Hole, an oceanfront grotto.

Amethyst is an ultra-modern, waterfront villa on the Terres Basses cliffs. This fully air-conditioned home has panoramic views of the ocean and the St. Martin coastline.
Amethyst offers a secluded hideaway for nature lovers. A dramatic grotto with snorkeling and ocean access, known Trou David or David’s Hole, is mere yards from the villa. Tropical gardens surround the property and stone pathways run throughout the exterior. There’s also a cozy dining deck above the hillside. The villa’s infinity pool has sloping, beach-style access and sits between the main and sleeping pavilions. Both the main pavilion and the sleeping pavilion have two-story decks with several loungers, daybeds, and dining spots. The main pavilion’s covered terrace leads into the open-air kitchen and has a comfortable sitting area, dining area, and a built-in BBQ.
The layout of this charming villa provides gorgeous views and maximum privacy for all of the bedrooms. Both the main pavilion and sleeping pavilion have a stylish, modern tone. The ground floor holds the living room, dining area, and gourmet kitchen. In the living room, there’s a large flatscreen TV, games, books, and chic furnishings. A dining table sits between the living room and kitchen. Black countertops and wooden furnishings run throughout the shotgun kitchen, and it’s equipped with stainless steel appliances. There’s a double sink, cocktail equipment, and pass-through window in the open-air portion by the veranda. A prep kitchen sits separate from the main kitchen, with a wine cooler, sink, and access to the BBQ.
There are five bedrooms in the sleeping pavilion, each with an ocean view and private bathroom. The suites are decorated in Moroccan, Provencal, or Colonial themes. The main level has a king suite with a private terrace, a large living area with a flatscreen TV, and access to the exterior reading nook. Upstairs, there’s a suite with two twins that can be made up as a king bed. It has its own living area, balcony access, and a bathroom with a rain head shower. There’s also a king suite on this level with a lounge and balcony access. The fourth bedroom is located on the pool level with an ensuite. The fifth room features its own entrance, private deck, powder room, quaint kitchen area, and private bathroom making it a studio for those that need a little more space for themselves.
Amethyst is located walking distance to Baie Rouge Beach. Laundry service is available, and guests can tip the housekeeper at their own discretion for this service.

Spectacular View!
Amethyst, St. Martin villa review
Amethyst Villa is like walking into a dream! It is situated on the hillside overlooking the picturesque rock formations and ocean with Anguilla in the distance. You can see the lights of Marigot at night. Walk to Rouge beach or drive to many other beaches. The pool and outdoor sitting area is beautiful! The concierge was there to answer all our questions and help with reservations or recommendations for restaurants and activities. We really enjoyed our stay here!
This was my first experience with WhereToStay.com and I would highly recommend them. They have an extensive array of villas to choose from and Jean was very helpful in guiding us through. She answered all questions and had a lot of useful tips and suggestions on everything from grocery provisions to restaurant and activity recommendations. Thank you Jean for making our experience an enjoyable one from beginning to end!

Amethyst, St. Martin villa review
This villa is simply beautiful. It had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The staff were amazing & it is situated in a very good location (not too far from the airport/maho beach and to several restaurants & stores).
I had a lovely stay & look forward to renting this villa in the future.
Everything was arranged for me which made the booking process easier & less stressful. I communicated with both Andrew & Sharon & they took care of my accommodation needs, so that was awesome!

Amethyst, St. Martin villa review
Upon walking in the door of Le Mas des Sables, my kids said, “mom, this is your house. You built it, you decorated it”. My daughter, the decorator said, “it’s hard to find a thing that we would change.” Les Mas des Sables was a majical secret hide-away that we melted into, perfectly arranged for family time together and plenty of special spots for alone time without leaving the villa.
Phillips was a gem in helping learn the house and the island and it’s people.
We all had an amazing experience. When asked about my trip with my best friend and four adult children who are scattered around the country, I respond, “It was Perfect!”
If you have the opportunity and choice, stay at our home away from home. You will feel blessed.
By the time it was time for our trip, I felt like Sharon was my relative. She is warm and knowledgeable and she knows how to make things happen and get things done. I was very excited that she took a trip to St. Martin just before ours and reported that our villa was amongst her favorites. And in her absence, every time i called, where to stay, I felt as if whomever answered the phone knew me.
